I just got the urge to play with sounds I hadn't tried before in a genre I've never worked in. It was fun, but no one that does Electronica for real will ever be threatened by the effort I'm sure. Mostly it was just for me, and I did have some fun doing this.
Glad you stopped in to listen my friend. I appreciate you too kind words.
Be well Feter and be cool as always,
Ed

it's nice to see artists do things in such different genres :) definitely has the feel of robots

I'm not totally sure the Robots would agree with your assessment, but I am hopeful.
It can be fun playing in someone else's sandbox every once in a while. For one thing, no one expects much so there's no pressure, and for another it's just a fun thing to do.
Thanks for listening Chance and for the kind words.
Be well and be cool,
Ed

hehe its always when people dont expect much especially when you surprise them and give them more than they expected
sloparts
Maybe someday I'll do one that way.
Like you said, when they don't expect much, it can be a pleasant surprise, if you get lucky.

mention before that the sheer breadth of your range astonishes me? I believe I did, and if I didn't, this is me saying it now! Man, you tackle so many genres,a nd always with great success. This has a very nice, dynamic arrangement, and a strong, pushing rhythm. The electric guitar adds a nice, warm touch to the colder electronic sounds, and I think you do evoke a robotic vibe. Lovely use of sounds, and even in this robotic world, your melodic sense shines through! Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

I don't know what to say after all that my friend except Thank You.
I guess it's just all music to my ears, and I try to feel it when I'm putting these things together. I never know how it will effect others, but I do know when it sounds somewhat good to me.
I have pretty eclectic tastes when it comes to sounds, and sometimes I think these little sonic escapes are not worth posting. But I've never been a good judge of that kind of thing so I just go ahead and post them in hopes it pleases someone.
If it pleased you, and ends up making others smile or react in a positive way than that's great. If it make them frown, that's to is great because it caused them to react to it. If they do nothing at all, that's when it has failed to elicit a response and I feel I've failed.
Thanks again for listening David, and for the great comments. I can't thank you enough for you patience and friendship.
Be well and be cool my friend,

Glad you like the track my friend. I'm new to the genre so I wasn't sure if I was getting it right or not.

At one time i used to live in Hillsboro, up until about 2000. Then I moved over to the coast and lived in Tillamook before moving here to Arkansas in 2005.
When I saw the pxd in your name I immediately thought of Portland Airport, and figured you must live near Portland somewhere.
Nice to meet you Ed
Be well and be cool man

pic to go with the high tech music !
Sounds like the device is over Egypt :)!
sloparts
I must be thick or something, cause your reference to Egypt escapes me, but then I never was very smart.
This is not my usual fair, but I thought I'd have some fun with it and see what happened. Playing in someone else's sandbox can be fun from time to time, and this was a lot of fun.
Thanks for listening Bill and taking time to comment, it is appreciated my friend.
Be well and be cool,

listened to "Undiscovered Hero" and enjoyed it. checked out your other stuff and like this. Messing around in different genres to me seems good. Helps keep the stuff you focus on the most, fresh. thanks

Many years ago I used to play Funk, Blues, Rock, Country, and some Jazz, but the Electronica stuff is new territory for me. But to me music is music, and if it sounds good, it sounds good.
I just like to play around in different genre for the fun of it, but you are right about it sharpening you focus. It gives you new material that you can use to keep the songs you would normally do fresh and interesting.
Thanks again for the listen and the kind words hooverfry,
Ed
