Description:
2nd, and probably final, installment from my first recording session. I mean, I have more, but I've tortured you all enough! Ha! These are here purely for posterity/documentation. I know they are rough and raw, so no need to pick on me!

This is my infamous 2-chord song, recorded almost 5 years ago. I recorded it right then so that I wouldn't ever forget it. I recorded it with a sound recorder on a clunky old pc laptop.

What it's about:
Young adult angst, baby! That's all it is.

Hey
The pseudo-harmonics sound like strings. This could be a big production.

Hmmm...
Now that you mention it, I think I could see that.

Great thing about a 2-chord song is you can endlessly riff off of it, like the Velvet Underground.

Thanks!
Really beautiful. Some people record with all the bells and whistles that money can buy, and don't have near the emotion that you do. Very beautiful! Thanks so much!

Well said!
I agree; studio perfection can't make up for lack of passion. Thanks. I am touched by that compliment.

fado
Fado it is. You should of course post the lyrics (you poet!), but even if you'd sing in Swahili, your soul will always shine through. Ah, that's music.
A moorlandt album featuring Estella is almost finished :-)

Tortured Souls
Look what you've done to your beloved community?!

E - I'm really loving this painful, dark and spicy Tex-Mexican flavored dish. It's a cross between an evil Lila Downs with a not-so-evil Diamanda Galás... Do you know what I'm talking about?

Your voice is wicked and your intense guitar actually sounds pretty great here - both chords!!

My only regret is that I can't download it. You really have tortured us enough.

Do I know what you mean?
Now I do, now that I've listened to these women on youtube. I know what you mean. Lila is like my roots. And Diamanda, that woman...is mad. I love her. She's gonna give me nightmares, but that's the sort of passion I live up to.

I'll be listening to these women again. They're great.

I'm glad you liked ALL the chords, ha ha.

...
i often record right after i write things :) and if i use more than chords in a song its scary. 3 chords and 3 notes lmao would be nice to see the lyrics and hear a more polished recording. sounds like there is something worth while in this

lyrics
I like how it sounds very ethnic. I could not hear the lyrics though. Honestly I like the rawness and roughness, but perhaps that's just me. I think it works with the emotion of the song.
