Description
A tribute to Chet Atkins and Jimi Hendrix. I enjoyed All Along The Watch Tower by J.H. and Ghost Riders in the Sky by Chet Atkins. There is a bit of flavor of both styles in this music I would like to think. So I'll just call the tune Chetrix. The Chet for Chet Aktins and the "rix" for Jimi Hendrix !

Here are a few lines from All Along The Watchtower

"Two riders were approachin
And the wind began to howl"

This is very cool
I particularly like the rhythm, and the percussion is very effective at adding a martial sense, and a somewhat foreboding air. Add to that the sound effects, and you get a truly cinematic, wonderfully evocative piece. Your playing is, as ever, superb - you have such a great touch, and the guitar sounds wonderful. I can hear your love of the music in the notes. Very nicely done. Kudos. Peace.

love your playing, but...
it seems more like Chet with Ibanez and Ravel than Jimmy but no complaint from me. I thought the horse hoofs a little over done, but the drum and strings were really effective. I always smile when I see a tiler entry and appreciate what comes from your prolific brain and fingers. Thanks!

Another tiler masterpiece
I really liked the opening set-up. It feels like there's also quite a bit of the Classical guitar masters in here as well. You always have such a rich, lush tone on that guitar.

Nice touch Bill
on the strings and in the music you've created. This is not an easy thing to do for any but the most exceptional players, but as always, you make it sound easy.

thanks for this Bill, it's going on the iPod post haste

Love this...
Hendrix was a god when it came to making the guitar really emotive. Chet put the backbone into a lot of the music we hear today.

What a combo! Very very nicely played and a great tribute to two very talented musicians!
