Description:
With appreciation for our good friend Feter, I wanted to make one of my favorite Feter songs, myself. This song has always touched me. I got permission from Feter to release this version. The original is wonderful and I try not to compare them, as it makes me self conscious.
Thanks Feter!

The recording might be off as my headphones are funking out. One of my mics was kind of hissy, too! But why should this stop me! I actually discovered the parametric eq and isolated most of the offending hiss and subtracted it! :)
Thanks Feter!

Lyrics:
O Babe :alone in the park
where the benches holdin sunlights
wholes and bolts
and crooked skiny cracks
O how I feel alone
a visiter as a bird
with pinky hairin gold
sittin with a rose
a sparklin sweeter pose
O darlin such a moon
Ooo Oooo o babe hold me so tight
the winters rag
and what else the apart hark
cold flaming bored
and dark eyed layered brow
o darlin cant you see
so what ever it took
those two gathered a poem
years goes by
shimmering load on the back
O darlin shouldnt be so hard
Oooo Oooo O babe Hold me so tight

I'm stunned by the depth you put into this. Just you, your guitar and some wonderful words from Feter.
Bravo for doing it and Kudos for doing it so well.

This song has been in the back of my mind for some time. Guess I needed a long weekend to express it!
Thanks,

soulful piece. I like the subtle pad in the background. Really filled it out and added the right emphasis to over all effect.
Great feeling all around with this.
Doadars Uncle
Yeah, originally it was only voice and guitar. I felt I needed to fill in for the hissss.
It begins with highs and upper tones. The deep tones are throughout but crescendo very gradually from start to finish. That way it ends in warmth.
Thanks buddy!

echo what Feter said - you got soul! This is a beautiful song, and you perform it beautifully. Your voice sounds heartfelt and eloquent, and the guitar and the low droning key works very well. Makes me think of Roger Waters in his more soulful mood. And that's a compliment in my book. Nicely done, my friend. Peace.
Doadars Uncle
This is heartfelt.
Hey, love the Waters reference! Thanks!

really nice. i really love what you have done to this. the spare arrangement is perfect. maybe we should have a "covers of feter" challenge.
Doadars Uncle
I'm really glad you stopped! You are so right! We will call it "Feter Fest!"
drakonis
nice rendition, this is very nice, Doug! Super singing and perfectly sparse music.
And look at that, you turned little problems (hiss) into newfound knowledge (the mighty parametric EQ sword.) Cool!
Sounds really good.

I like the slowed tempo. You sing with all the emotion, and the instrumentation is just right.
