Description
Here's some Luna Soul for you. Actually, it's an old, old song, written in the dark recesses of my youth about the fear of being scorched by love. I relearned it and rerecorded it recently. The lyrics are immature but hopefully you'll find something universal in the song. We've all been singed... yet yearn for more. Prepare for a feeding....

Lyrics
Taste the Fire
I lived my life in hopes of danger
there's nothing that I wouldn't do
and now that you're a stranger
I guess I'm bent on you
And I don't need the pain
but I've done it again
I know I'm starving babe
and I need to feed on you
I've never been so damn compelled to taste the fire
I'm consumed by appetite
If I want it, I need it, I'll get it, I'll breathe it
I'll become the fire
cos I'm posessed and burning white
And I don't need the pain
but I've done it again
I know I'm starving babe
and I need to feed on you
Glowing is the loneliness that swims inside my head
shoot it down - shoot it down
the hunger oh my hunger makes me want to scream
press it down - press it down
And I don't need the pain
but I've done it again
I know I'm starving babe
and I need to feed on you
I lived my life in hopes of danger
there's nothing that I wouldn't do
and now that you're a stranger
I guess I'm bent on you
And I don't need the pain
but I've done it again
I know I'm starving babe
and I need to feed on you
I've never been so damn compelled to taste the fire
I'm consumed by appetite
If I want it, I need it, I'll get it, I'll breathe it
I'll become the fire
cos I'm posessed and burning white
And I don't need the pain
but I've done it again
I know I'm starving babe
and I need to feed on you
Glowing is the loneliness that swims inside my head
shoot it down - shoot it down
the hunger oh my hunger makes me want to scream
press it down - press it down
And I don't need the pain
but I've done it again
I know I'm starving babe
and I need to feed on you

...lounge song!!! but a very mellow one. What a wonderful job you've done in arranging this, and your singing is smooooooothe throughout. Very nice production and a most pleasant listen. The guitar licks cookin' in the background are really pleasant...Nice to hear this "sound" and especially your controlled singing. [There's a line in "Antigone" by Sophocles from the "Ode To Love" that reads, "And Aphrodite laughs." Yep. We keep asking for the pain over and over again. The ancient Greeks had it right, apparently. ]
Peace.
