Description:
This is a song I usually play as an instrumental. This song used to put my oldest daughter to sleep. I was going to rewrite this as a Christmas Song, but realizing my daughter might not appreciate that, I left it as is. Her Song. I did included this track on my latest Christmas Ep. The Christmas spirit encouraged this piece

Lyrics:
Sleep little one, dream your dreams, day is done.
My heart holds your smile until the morning comes.
The stars from your eyes, now aglow in the skies,
Heavenly voices I hear sending (their) sweet lullabies.

Lord, be with me, I am asking of thee, help me know. Lord,
who to be – how to be what this child needs of me.

Sleep little one, I am with you.
Sleep little one, all the night through.

Lord, give me wisdom to know what my child needs to grow,
When to hold tight, when to let go -

Sleep little one, and know that I love you.

This is just
beautiful - fantastic vocal. Silky smooth (Nat King Cole?).
Lovely understated musicianship too. Perfection. Downloaded. Thanks.
Cheers
Len

Sigh...
Thank you M'lady. I've always been a fan of the crooners. Nat Cole, Tony Bennett and Sinatra. These days I've been paying more attention to that side of me. One great thing about being totally unknown is I can do whatever I'm in the mood to do. I'd give that up in a second for just a little something though : )

No point to commenting.
Everyone got here ahead of me with 'Nat King Cole' on their figurative lips...

But do that duet with your daughter while you're both still in the world...

Sweetly and sincerely written, perfectly in tune with the crooner style...Astoundingly well sung and played...

People who write tunes for and with their kids are automatically on my good list...

Ed

WOW!
So good! everything about it is top notch. Lyrics, singing, guitar, all good. You have excellent production techniques. Do you record in a pro studio? It sounds like it.

How sweet
Great song for this time of year. Even though the lyrics are not christmassy, there is something about the atmosphere.

Very well sung and played.

your right
This isn't a Christmas song, but it's in the Christmas spirit. That's why I included it with the rest of the (real) Christmas songs. Cool of you to feel that as well. Thanks Vic.
