Description:
Well, this is me kinda naked and I seriously doubt that this is the way ya wanna see me. So, dress me up with your instrument of choice. The title succinctly says all that should be said about the who, what and whys of the MIA. Everything is penciled, in case you're interested and want to have at it. the file is yours to do as you wish. I'd be more than happy to deconstruct it (within reason, though I expect quite a bit of change) to help make something work if it speaks to you in a big enough way. K?...

.. just because you're back Dion!
But then I listened and can hear that some people are going to have a lot of fun with this. The chordal bits might be a challenge though.
A cool piece of rhythm and stuff - so good to see you posting again.
btw FIRSTIES (I hope)!
Cheers from Oz,
Neil

Hi there, Mr. Porter! So nice to read your words of encouragement! You warmed my heart and made me remember why I've spent so much time here in the past. I do hope that someone takes me up on this, but I also hope that Guitar Man will be guilt-tripped into possibly knowing that folks would like to hear what this little piece of tunage was built around. I'm almost sure, that he doesn't like his part of which, I think was beautifully rendered, but that he just doesn't like how this all turned out. I didn't think that anyone would have anything to comment on this, but I have to admit, that it was nice wake up a list of my favorite MJRs being who they are. I'll do my part in keeping this up. About to dig through your posting right about, NOW! Cheers! Dion

....I've said this on occasion before...but I'd LOVE to have a crack at this. TIme is short, though...so sorry...wonderful piece, Mac...I love this.
Macaudion
Nothing would make me more pleased then to work on a piece of music with you, Mr Sir! One day, maybe, just maybe we will end up having that experience. Always, ALWAYS a pleasure to cross paths with you, Bob! Can't wait to hear what I've been missing from you, as well.
Thanks for taking the time to have a listen to this. Really appreciate it! M
kristyjo
Glad to see you around! This is good. I hope someone with talent comes along and adds some more awesome goodness to this piece.
Macaudion
Oh, I owe you so big, KristyJ - Thank you for your kind words! I hope that someone takes me up on the offer too! Thanks again! I truly appreciate it. Looking forward to hearing what I've been missing from you, too! Doing it, now.

So cool to have a treat from you Dion. If you did this with the pencil tool... wow. Must have taken some time... Just to get the notes flowing in rhythm.
There is a certain blues feeling over this.
Impressive!
Macaudion
Sounded good enough to me!... LOL...
thoddi
Dion, terribly sorry - I had several tabs open in my browser and tought I was listening to your song, when it really was something going on in another tab... he he:)
But now I'm certain that I listen to your song. Nice drums. You are the percussion master for sure. Your songs has a special mood. Mystic, and something majestic is around.
And that you do this with the pencil tool is something beyond my understanding. Ultra impressive!
Nice to hear from you again.
Macaudion
But I like your intent, too, Sir! Thank you, thank you for stopping by! Man, it's been way too long. You're another soul that reminds me of the whys that I dig this little joint! Really great to reconnect! Can't wait to hear what you've been up to. Oh, and yeah... my little fingers get a bit of a work out penciling something like this, but it is definitely driven by passion. Can't do enough of it.
Thanks again, for your support and very kind words.
Dion

Im glad to see you back posting again... Nice as always impressive work my friend... cheers
Macaudion
You're so die-hard, I'm gonna be like you when I grow up! Thank you, mister man!

drakonis
Ha! Even your "unfinished" pieces are so polished. Love the clarity and space in this. Not too much of a fan of the main synth, but then, the percussion totally makes up for it. Got my little dragon-tail wiggling in my seat to this. Good to see you and your music again!
ttfn,

I hope the space around you was clear of any valubles, Sir! I also imagine that it takes an awful lot of energy to move that thing around, like that... Eh eh...
Such a delight to see you hear! I'm sorry that you don't like the synth sound. It was a part of me trying to put forth a different sound so that folks won't immediately say, "oh... that's Macaudion"... Well, the rest of your comment makes up for the dislike of the synth. You know I'll be searching to make you 100% happy one day. And even if it makes me not as happy... Nahhh... I want us both to be happpy!
Thank you for stopping by! I'm just chumpn' at the bits to hear what you've been up to so, I'll go over and pick on you now! Cheers! Dion

listen to something new from you Macca - you always impress with your productions - so polished - headphone bliss.
Lovely composition and great listen, hope someone takes it further although I really like it as it is.
Cheers

that anyone took the time to listen and comment on this, given how unfinished it is, but I'm even more pleased that you were one of the people to have stopped by, Len. You're consistently generous with a show of encouraging words to share. I'm way more encouraged than I thought I'd be. Really appreciate, sir. It's nice to get support for anything, I guess, but I truly am surprised.
Thanks, Len. Looking forward to hearing more of your musings, as well.
Cheers

how would I dare touch this? Unless you want a mess - NOT
Really Slick, Dion. Percussion is 'sick' (like, I'm sick I could never produce something like this in my dreams)

Macaudion
I think that you have just as much potential as anyone, sir so, there...
I like sick! Sick is good. According to my nephews, it doesn't get much better so I'm down with that. Really nice to see your writing on anything. Thanks for the way too kind words for such unfinished business. It really means a lot to me.
Looking forward to seeing more of you around here, one way or the other.
Dion

Really cool bunch of ideas and love the bass especially. I'm sure someone more skilled than me will do something magical with this!

Macaudion
Hey, thanks!, Phil. Thanks for stopping by and being generous with your sentiments here. I sure hope that someone takes this on, too. Crossing my fingers! A delight to have you stop by. Truly, Dion

dude i wanna quit ... man your "in work" is better than my "i sweat for months stuff". incredible sounds and great perc. extremely cool indeed !
Macaudion
I just listened to, "Just a kid" and the production on that is absolutely, outstanding so, I'm thinking that you just told a little white one... Though, that was far better than building my up for a dud...
Hey, thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave such nice words. We be appreciating it!
Happy Holidays, Sir(s) I don't think that I know who is "Davisamerica" and I get that I should. Sorry. Help me out if you don't mind.
Thanks again! Dion
Vic Holman
when I hear one of your tunes there is always this unmistakable vibe that has you written all over it. It's hard to pin point, but it's there.
dynamic, that's the word.
Macaudion
...when appropriate. It may speak to how easily something can loose my attention, and it is likely the reason that I might put forth some degree of efforts in trying to get and then, hold the attention of a listener, if not just my own. I'm kinda lacking in the talent/skill department and anybody can do loud and then, soft and somewhere, something in-between. Thanks for noticing though, nothing is conscious with me in the dynamic department. It just happens, I guess
Thanks for stopping by, Vic. You're always sharing something insightful that maybe I should be aware of, in what I do musically. That makes your comments highly valuable to me so, thanks for that.
Until we meet again - peace, Sir.

Great expansive playing with lots of space for improv. Love that bass sound with the fantastic percussion, the timing is quite unique. Nice flavours man!

I'm imagining all kinds of stuff to go along with this ethereal goodness. You're always an inspiration to make me want to get back in the game. I just need to sit back, give it a few more listens and try seriously to not have the image of you naked wandering around in my head and I should be good to go. :)
Great to hear some new tunage from you, my friend. I may seriously give this a whirl and see what emerges.

OOOOooooohhh......Lush...Hush....the VIIIIiiiiiiiibbbbbeeee.
Texture city......molten-groove-line etched in our mind with no time defined and listened to well.... with some fine wine.
All kinds of good stuff here. Even got a taste of earlier Hancock doing his Death Wish Soundtrack thing.
So many flavors going by. Another great one. Always liked your tune,
"The Worlds I've travelled Inside". That one will always be special, but hey, so will this.
Alannah
...like what Damiengh said .... so I'm just gonna pretend that I said it first ....

Cheers Jarvo

Man you find some of the craziest fractal art I've ever seen...for one. For two, listening to this piece was a very mystical experience. Lots of open space here. I wouldn't call it naked, but I do agree, somebody should add accessories. :D

what Drak meant. Sometimes the synth detracts, but that happened for me only towards the end of the piece. It is good. No takers, yet? Thanks.
