very cool
I really like the different movements, and the connection with the cycle of water is very cool. Love the water sound effects, and a really nice mix, too. Nicely done. Peace.

for the long car ride when I want some music to help me lose track of time, liked the opening with the voices a lot, beautiful melody and mixing, thanks for sharing
Excuse me - I have to pee
No seriously - this is a great rack Bill - I love the bass sound you found - kinda boggy and the ripply guitar is perfect. Nice to hear you posting again and bringing your unique perspective to musical composition. Some beautiful harmonies towards the end.
well Bill
you have a daunting music page that has always intimidated me... but if I had started back when... I'd at least be more familiar now...
nothing is canned here... unexpected changes and fresh to my ears... I love how subtly this morphs into a euphoric lift as it winds down... your changes are so nuanced yet the emotional feel is completely different in the last moments... even though the basic progression doesn't change in that section it becomes so hopeful as it recedes....
I'm guessing that your forte is cinematic & soundtrack because of the visual nature...
I will have to go back and check your bio to se what software you wield.. this couldn't be GB....
.
no clue what my forte is... just try randomly picking a tune once in a while - i've dabbled with lots of different things over time
the build up towards the end uses a simple rhythmic trick: the clicky snare sound at first hits on threes: one-two-THREE-four. but then it switches to one-TWO-three-FOUR which is effectively twice as fast. somehow that changes how you hear everything else and it somehow makes it feel uplifting (bringing in the horns at that point helps too).
i love build ups - many of my tunes do that sort of thing.

this is really special. so glad to see you inspired again. so much nice stuff going on here. love that guitar part, that climb is delicious. i wish i had written this. there's a band called Mellow, you should check them out. They did a soundtrack for CQ that is similar to this. all of their stuff is like a modern twist on 60's soundtracks. anyways, i am blown away by this. really a wonderful piece, best i've heard here in a while.
Hydrologic Cycle
Ego is right - "Phillip Glass with GUTS" - I only can vaguely imagine how a musical brain such as yours works. It's a wonder to behold - I feel so lucky I get to hear your mad scientist self create these incredible works of art!

This a really cool track
you seem like someone who plays at the outer edges and creates really interesting and entertaining music in the process. I also notice that you're all over the album idea on your page. Maybe you'd consider podding one of your albums and posting with us when we're fully up and running. You could submit now and be the first.

guitapick
...you added the echo on the theme at 2:00. Great builds to a cool picture.
Excellent, Smokey...bravo!
SmokeyVW

thanks!
