Description:
Bud invited me to take his recontextualization of Bryn's piece a step further... and I couldn't resist. I added some dub bass, two guitars, piano, and some backward ambient vocals. Someone may want to add even more...
Always a treat to work with Bryn,,, and thanks to Bud for the invite.

Okay look I'm not one to criticize but that photo is giving me a fright!!!!! I'm sure that's intentional though so I respect your artistic choices. Now for the important part, the music! It's AWESOME!!! Totally absorbing. Wonderful. Love it love it love it. Big time, seriously, really!
So glad I signed up to be mailed when you post, Luna. A cool feature on Macjams!
LunaTrick
Feel free to add some vocals... or perhaps I should trick you into it!

This is terrific...I love your additions to Bud's reworked version. I particularly like the vocals you have added and the way in which this has given even more coherence to the structure that Bud created
What are you actually singing there...it almost sounds like Eeeeeeng Landdddd oe Eeeeeee Yahhhhhh to me
:-)
Stellar stuff
Thank you for working on this version and posting

I was going for the Royksopp type sound... structure without too much architecture if you know what I mean. I'm trying to sing Baby backwards with all the right inflections.... but your words are interesting too!

I LOVE the cute baby picture
LunaTrick
You're the only one so far!

I'm gonna go with ramona and say the baby picture freaks me out. But the music - now THAT is just very cool. I really like your vocals, the backwards ones very cool - took me awhile to figure out what you were saying...lol. Almost could be a sort of lullaby for, um...that...um....baby. Loved this Daniel. A great reworking and cool additions of bud/bryn's stuff.
LunaTrick
It was a fun track to add to... sort of like that cello piece will be (hint hint!)
magnatone
totally BIZARRE song photo! (it got my attention though) The song is very cool - i love your vocals here, backwards, frontwards, all directions. Your imagination is a marvel Daniel - VERY COOL!
LunaTrick
The frontwards vocals are Bryn's - which sound really cool - he should sing more! You're very kind... but at the moment, everything pales in comparison to your Meridian Cycle!
Diviner
Really like the additions you have put over the top. Esp like it when you reverse the instruments. Really cool remix, Luna, like it. Man that is a scarey picture.
LunaTrick
The picture seemed to do it's job in luring people though...

...a soundscape. It chugs along pretty much with one chord and rhythm. But what you've done with the added instruments and especially the backwards vocals is very effective, especially the little "swells" that come into the vocal. I do wish this piece WENT somewhere, though. It has set up such a terrific mood, but it pretty much starts and stays at just about the same location.
[the photo: very disturbing]
Peace.

It is a soundscape... with no development. It's sort of dronelike.... and perhaps hypnotic. Sometimes repetition can be effective... but I can see your point about direction. I was tempted to try and add tonal developments - but it just didn't feel right.

Perhaps you would consider grabbing the components and having a go at working with the sounds. I would be really interested to hear where the musical journey might go if you are interested

leinad, leinad... interesting choice to use such a fantastically grotesque image to go along with such a pretty and soothing composition. but this is a very nice recording--sort of an avant-garde lullaby. great work, guys.

The pic was a whim... AG lullaby is about right!

i just noticed that Bryn suggested that you grab the components, and i can't believe that this was done without them. really nice use of Bryn and Kevins work. Just awesome sounding, and i like the frightening picture.
bud
to give it a go - which I'd love to hear.
LunaTrick
I really like your subtle approach to this work also...
craft
this is great... Love this song...
LunaTrick
Feel free to add some Portuguese lyrics!
bud
you filled this out really well. The vocals and bass are perfect and the guitars and piano fit in really well. So glad to have been a part of this - such as it was.
LunaTrick
of all your work... so you deserve most of the credit (along with Bryn)
HenriROGERsoloandbands
Too much the same thing all along , for my taste , even if what you did is good for a part of the track .
I also think the pic has nothing to do with the mood of the track , it would fit in some P K Dick's sci-fi books nightmares of his pshychotics characters lost in the space for ever :-)
LunaTrick
It is repetitive and lacks development - which can be said for a lot of ambient soundscape music I suppose. The pic was a passing whim... and yes... perhaps better suited for Philip K Dick's android nightmares!
Skean
You do so many songs lately so I missed this one... Nice ambience tune.
I don't say any about that pic more then it is cool in some way scary too.
LunaTrick
Glad you approve of both!

Very cool and emotive. I really like it. Groovy.
