OK well first of all, your daughter can really draw!! And then as usual, man can you ever play that guitar. This is just smooth as silk and a tremendously enjoyable listen. You always make it sound so easy - but i know it's not!
Ibstrat
I really appreciate your comment!

Isn't this style of music called Ragtime? Reminded me of the film 'The Sting' with Paul Newman and Robert Redford.
Impressive playing, and an enjoyable piece of music. I thought your daughters drawing was a photograph before I read the description saying it's her drawing. Very impressive:)
Ibstrat
I'm no expert but I think ragtime should be played with totally straight 8th notes. This is more like a 20's type blues I think. At least I followed the 12-bar form. Thanks a lot for checking out my song.
lengold
runs in the family, lovely drawing.

Looks like you've got a lot of talent in that family of yours my friend. Between you guitar work and her artwork, we have to great artists on our hands.

Really cool vibe on this. I hear the Django in ya.
Loved it.
Ibstrat

Relic67
Very, very impressive picking as usual. Like that strat sound.
It would be cool to see you doing that in a live setting... would definitely go down well with a beer or two.
Could you give us some details on your recording setup?
Ibstrat
an old (70's) Ibanez strat copy diectly into a Line6 Geabox interface. Software is Abelton Live4.Thanks for the comment.
Ed Hannifin
...people who AREN'T you do multitrack recording... Like, one track per line... It's sort of cheating to do multiple parts with just two hands...Not to mention the two halves of one brain...Remember: one idea per brain. Keeps things manageable...
Remarkable drawing from your staff graphic artist...
Ed
Ibstrat
multitrack recording?

Between Macjams, working and commenting, how do you find the time to work on this challenging material???
Must be your love for the muse that gets you there eh? May your holidays be pain-free.
Relax those tendons grasshopper, so we can continue to enjoy your skills.

Yep, that has a bit of the old stride piano feel. Cool chords in this one. I like the upbeat feel. And some really nifty chord work around the 2 minute mark. Not sure that I've heard that trick from you before.
TERRAPLANE
Fine guitar playing !!! Your a master of double-stops.. Thanks for the DL !
Char
unadorned perfection. Wonderful drawing. My cat looks just like that. You are very smooth and confident. Thanks.

Nice Chet feel again, maybe with da Joe Pass injections not withstanding you still have your own thing in here as well. I never hear slavish imitation in your playing-how rare a talent you are...
