Description:
My wife wanted me to put this song here and I'm glad to, but I notice today that several people have already recorded this lovely song for MacJams. I hope you don't mind this version which I've sung for years. I don't think of it as a sorrowful song but one about the hope of fulfilment to come.
I chose the picture because it's a beautiful garden and that's what the word paradise means.

You capture the heart of the song. I can hear in your singing... conviction. Love the harmonies. And yes... nice picture... one day, Paradise. I'm going home...

Like the whole thing. Nice guitar playin too! Like the addition of the low drum. Cool harmonizing.

Thank you, Bill. I often think a simple approach is more in keeping with this kind of song; it doesn't draw attention away from the words.

I don't know how I missed this earlier but you've made a beautiful rendition of one of my favourite folk songs (at least, I think of it as folk as I first heard it sung by Joan Baez). Please thank your wife for asking you to post it.
(PS: Thank you for the note and the download on Nowell. I will come back and listen to more when I have a little more time.)

Many thanks, Richard!

As one who has done this song solo acoustic style on occasion also, it can't be done any better than this. You have achieved perfection, a state to which mankind rarely ascends.

You're very kind, Tom. You and I shared a similar taste in music during our formative years; I'm going to have a good listen to your MacJams contributions- we seem to like singing a lot of the same songs nowadays!
