Description:
Another song, based upon the never ending topic of time...
Lyrics:
tick tick tockyou where gone, but never really gone
how where you? what did you do with your time?
what's the time? how do you read it?
do you want to talk or watch the sun go down?
while you where gone, I had the strangest kind of dreams in me;
artistic, surrealistic, melted kind of times indeed
time, it's time
tick-tick-tock
melt away
in the sun
you where gone, for a long, long time
like a mother ship swallowed by the sea
what's your name again? what do you like to read?
can we be friends again? can we please?
when you where gone, I dreamt a thousand dreams
none of them seemed to stand free
when you where gone, time stood still my friend
paralyzed on a empty field
while you where gone, I had the strangest kind of dreams in me;
artistic, surrealistic, melted kind of times indeed
time, it's time
tick-tick-tock
melt away
in the sun
A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance
time, it's time
tick-tick-tock
melt away
in the sun

Love the vocal on this - great attitude and style, and lovely harmonies. The lyrics are well done, veering from the universal and philosophical to the personal and emotional, all set against a backdrop of those great beats, and excellent keys sounds. Very cool. This rocks. Peace.

There's always something personal in anything, right? I did go more for the "style" in this one and I am happy you liked it. Normally, as in this case, all my lyrics are personal, but my music just what is being formed around the thoughts and the lyrics (I guess personal as well, but I also seek)...

it's always a joy to listen to your stuff, Mikki...and this is no exception
taking my cue from Dajama, I love the lyrics as well, they go from hugely vivid to random acts of sublimeness (is that a real word???)...
I especially love the chorus, great build up to the final recitation of the chorus lyrics...has a Depeche Mode meets B-52's feel to it, especially with the harmonies
keep up the wonderful work, my friend

Sometimes, and quite often, one has to allow themselves to be naive? I truly believe in this, if you don't see the blue within the blue, how can you actually see the blue? :)

...to act distinctive, this is who I am. Not many friends, but the few I have, I believe, loves me. I am happy you enjoyed.

Wanna take a walk behind the barn and talk about old times? :) Seriously, it's been like almost a whole Pink Floyd career since I've been here. But, I am back, or at least for the time being. What are you guys up to, aside of beefin' up you VW's! and get em' ready for the winter roads? :)

I hear lots of synths. Pretty cool ones at that. The verse has a bit of a Thomas Dolby vibe. A very enjoyable song.

You're right, there's no bass, no guitar on this song... No I feel embarrassed, most of my songs has some kind of bass or guitar so it has become more like a sleepy hollow thing to put down, good catch Vic! Well, I am glad you found the song to be in your taste anyway, or therefore... Thomas did not appear in my headphones all that much - there's so much I've missed, and wish I could find time to sit and listen to music 24/7. Thank you for your comment.

and really evocative of the best of the eighties. I really love this genre when it's done this well. Excellent lyrics and vocals and perfect synths and drums. The tambourine is the crowning touch.
