Description
A song about two people who have found each other whilst already being attached to two other people, a case of the inevitable I suppose, dealing with the problem whilst it happens, the secrecy, the lies, clandestine meetings, & the hurt it causes. The price of true love eh.
Many thanks to Najeeb for letting me play with his song
Peace to you my friend

Sat here watching the horizon
Waitin’ for the day to come
Where we sit together in the arms of circumstance
I know we’d never ever spend our lives apart
People said we were finished
Before we even made a start
Theres a broken arrow
Lying on the canyon floor
Reminds us all, of what had gone before
In the face of adversity
You have to fight to achieve a victory
We’ve got to rise if were gonna survive
We’ve got to love if were gonna get wise
We’ve got to know that there is nowhere to go
But up the mountain if you’re down below
We’re just two lovers
Sitting in the morning sun
& we both know ‘bout the damage we’ve done
We know it ain’t easy
For the people left behind
We didn’t want to hurt anyone
Coz neither of us are the hurting kind
Got to rise if were gonna survive
Got to love if were gonna get wise
We gotta
Learn from what we know
Help us both to grow
& don’t let go
Don’t let go

I really like the music here, well written, played, and recorded. The lyrics seemed ever-so-slightly rushed at the beginning, but worked their way into the music later. The singing packed a nice punch, emotionally delivered. Ah, the grassy-green star-crossed-lover syndrome, such bittersweet excitement it creates... as you try to decide if this is indeed true love, or an adrenaline addiction, or just bad Mexican food. :-)
