it is a translation of hues to music... however, it is your choice of art and instruments that is so creative. it is a beautiful image. the eyes cannot be diverted. and the music, it is the sound the brain makes when seeing such a vision. is it a time of a shower with cold water? 0x0
apb
.. definitely your turf so to speak .. glad you liked the choices I made to steer .. as you say, that does come into play .. another artist using the same sw with the same pic could get completely different results with their different input choices.
I wanted to do something 'lighter' in contrast to "The picture of Dorian Gray" done with the same sw.

Yes... interesting site... and a new look at synaesthesia! Not sure that qualifies as "big" though...
apb
.. intriguing huh? I guess your not familiar with the long running British sitcom "'Allo 'Allo", try this :)
Outtaorbit
just flat strange...i listened twice....faved.....downloaded....beats me why?
apb
.. too kind. I wouldn't like to hazard a guess as to why .. :). Seasons best to ya.
DWL
but very interesting.
apb
.. this one was bizarre .. try "The picture of Dorian Gray" :)
Thanks for the listen DWL. Have a Merry Christmas!

really i think it was the word "boobies" that got me .... Season's best Alan
apb
.. it might get many more google hits like one of Paddlers just because of it ;o)
Feter
Impressionist work ...something that brought the mind the lil
confusion those might accurd on the human heart ...thnx alot
for sharin !!!
apb
.. an impression of the painting .. in some sense. Tried to stimulate some more light-heartedness in this one, in contrast to "The picture of Dorian Gray".

Seeing the painting while hearing the music makes it seem sci-fi...yes?
Like this isn't just a nude photo; it is an ALIEN nude photo...ha ha.
I just think this is a worthwhile endeavor, asking a computer to be artistically creative and see what happens.
apb
.. not sci-fi .. well sounds sci-fi, yes .. but that wasn't what I
was going for .. hardly nude painting .. but alien?? lol .. certainly was fun creating it... the painting in the WWII comdey sitcom, is the subject of many plots .. since the painting is valuable and being sought out and stashed away secretly by various parties for after the war.
lengold
one too - but prefer the first. All very weird. If you do the same picture twice do you get the same music?
Cheers
Len
apb
.. my personal preference of these two experiments was The picture of Dorian Gray".
If you do the same pic with the same parameters/settings you get the same result yes .. if another took the same pic, you'ld end up undoubtedly with slightly or radically different results.
Try it out, you'll see what I mean.

That RGB thing is tits!
(Had to say it, sorry.)
apb
.. thanks SJ! Don't hold back now .. ;o) .. seasons best to you and yours .. hear from you in the New Year no doubt.
Kev3136
Very Mellow, and it does flow Nicely. I could use this as a creepy track xD
apb
Well it's pretty weird .. I thought the other experiment was creepier.
Thanks for the feedback Kev.
jiguma
Lots of questions - probably best unasked. Weird and fascinatingly beautiful.
apb
.. yup your probably right... lol. :o)
Mcboy
but i dig it...robotrlovemaking music...hehehe

(possibly unrelated) thing: this Smokey code you're using is undoubtedly a superior way to organize your catalog by groups, but................. it makes it a total bitch to drop in to see if you have posted anything new. I feel like Bernard Madoff's accountant scanning the left-most side of your song list, trying to put the "posted" dates in chronological order.
This sounds like Forum material! Maybe I'll wait, though, until things get a little slow there.
In the meantime, a healthy and prosperous 2009 to you, Alan.
Matt
apb
.. hope you have a good 2009 too!
.. btw, I think there is two pretty easy alternative ways to get round that issue I can think of:
1) on a visit, just click the 'Date' field once (in blue) on the top of song list .. it undoes that new 'album style' default setting I use .. and displays the song list as before, latest first, chronological order. Accounting back in order ;o)
or ..
2) Activate receiving e-mail notifications for fav artists new uploads.

combination of sounds and placement Im always a sucker for eperimentation like this. Very cool artwork btw.. Enjoyed!
Three_Below_ZeroZ
a bit over our heads - but the picture is worth a listen. Seriously though - you seem to have a handle on this abstract thing.
dadgarus
It makes me see the image even when I close my eyes.
Nice Idea!
I don't know how you have made this magic so tough, but I really love it! I'm not only this track's fan but yours too!
