Arizona Rocks Are Calling Me

Arizona rocks are calling me
Sandstone wonders, spiral ecstasy
Vortex reaching for the sky
Often makes me wonder why oh why
I stay in this old part of town
Where I’ve lived so long that I might drown
When rustic rocks fill fantasies
The air so pure fills with rhapsody
The earth beneath my feet of pasts gone by
Navaho wonders reaching for the sky
Cactus blooming its soft refrain
Yet in my town I still remain
A simpler life could soon be found
If I simply grasp these dreams and embrace the unknown
Imagine all the possibility
Of a life fulfilled
Where dreams could be
Simple, sand, sane and safe
Awaken dawn, but don’t be brief.
