Description:
From Birdman Wayne: "MJers, it has been quite a while since I worked on recording some music. This was written shortly before Christmas a year ago with Mysti in mind to add her magic. Her feelings and clear detailed work had always impressed me and I've been wanting and waiting that collab for sometime....
I secierley hope that you'll enjoy this piece.. I know it's short, though not sure if it captured the Christmas feel, but I just like how it goes and pretty happy with the result. I had a lot of trouble getting the mix right here here but that was mostly due to the way I recorded it... this was recorded with the guitar (that I turned back) and it was plugged directly through the PC... what I hate about plugged guitars is that it doesn't give a real sound nor a feel in the playing, I had to tweak for a while till I got a better sound.
I'd really love to thank you Cat for such a great work.. this collab with your touches means a lot to me and it was an honor working with you, and thanks for being patient with me... :D!
Have a happy season of holidays friends.... thanks a lot"
From Cat: When I first heard the guitar track, it brought to mind the calm, peaceful beauty of winter--slightly wistful. I titled it tentatively "Winter White," though the name 'stuck' as we worked back and forth on the collaboration.
I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to work on this lovely composition. Thank you, Birdman Wayne, for entrusting me to add orchestration and to be part of this collaboration--it's a beautiful song!
guitar, final mix/production--Birdman Wayne
orchestral additions--Mystified

You two captured Winter feelings perfectly and skillfully here. Yes, wistful, snowed in feeling, but not too melancholy- just the right feeling of a still, cold day. You both play very well and together, it is wonderful. Good to hear music from you again, Yeman. :-)

What a gorgeous bit of guitar work, beautiful melody so nicely played, Yeman. The piano fits in very nicely, and that is so hard to do since the expressive guitar playing has some nice rubato in it that the piano has to try to match the timing of, which is done extremely well, BTW. The orchestral strings were a great touch, although at the end perhaps a tiny bit too loud, relative to the soft guitar/piano ending. Overall a sweet longing created from this piece, loved it!

Together you have made a lovely, evocative winter piece: I can even feel the twilight with my eyes closed. An extremely successful collaboration. Well done!

Yeman and Mysti... This is a very enchanting piece of music... delicate and deep. And completely satisfying as I listen.
Thank you both for a lovely winter/Christmas instrumental.

from the two of you. You did an excellent job on the orchestration Cat and I'm very impressed with the playing and mix that you did Yeman. Apparently you are learning GB and the Mac very rapidly my friend. I am proud of you and the progress you've made these last months.
Bravo to both of you for a wonderful, sweet piece of music.

...very gentle quality about this composition and the subtle orchestration...Nice guitar work throughout...Now and again everything isn't quite in sync, but the overall effect is so very pleasant. Such melancholy is difficult to capture, but you have done it well here.
Peace.

This is really great to listen to.
I think the guitar could lose some low frequencies. It rumbles a bit much on my speakers, and it gets in the way of other instruments, for instance the piano.
