Description:
An old one I dusted off from Garage Band and tweaked in Logic. A special thanks to my friend Tony who laid this piano piece down for me.
Lyrics:
THE LORD HAS RISEN YOU’VE BEEN FORGIVENI THINK ITS TIME YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND
IT’S SACRILEGIOUS TO BE SO VICIOUS
I BET YOUR GLAD YOUR STILL ALIVE
CAUSE YOUR CAUGHT IN THE LIGHT
AND THE TIMINGS RIGHT
CAUGHT IN A RAGE OF FRIGHT
AND YOUR HAND STILL IN THE JAR
CAUSE YOUR CAUGHT IN THE LIGHT
AND THE TIMINGS RIGHT
CAUGHT IN A RAGE OF FRIGHT
AND YOUR HAND STILL IN THE JAR
NO MORE CONFUSION THEY CAUGHT YOU SNOOZING
I THINK IT’S TIME YOU PAY THE FINE
THE CRIMES COMMITTED THE SENTENCE GIVEN
YOU GOT TO LEAVE THAT LIFE BEHIND
CAUSE YOUR CAUGHT IN THE LIGHT
AND THE TIMINGS RIGHT
CAUGHT IN A RAGE OF FRIGHT
AND YOUR HAND STILL IN THE JAR
CAUSE YOUR CAUGHT IN THE LIGHT
AND THE TIMINGS RIGHT
CAUGHT IN A RAGE OF FRIGHT
AND YOUR HAND STILL IN THE JAR
FORGIVE ME JESUS THERE WAS NO REASON
BUT MAYBE GREED THAT STRUCK ME BLIND
FORGET EXCUSES MY LIES ARE USELESS
AND I’M CONVICTED OF THE CRIME
CAUSE I’M CAUGHT IN THE LIGHT
AND THE TIMINGS RIGHT
CAUGHT IN A RAGE OF FRIGHT
AND MY HAND STILL IN THE JAR
CAUSE I’M CAUGHT IN THE LIGHT
AND THE TIMINGS RIGHT
CAUGHT IN A RAGE OF FRIGHT
AND MY HAND STILL IN THE JAR
FORGIVE ME JESUS THERE WAS NO REASON
BUT MAYBE GREED THAT STUCK ME BLIND...

Glad you enjoyed this. Yes! Tony was a pleasure to play with. I actually used a track from a jam with the old band FEEL. Human error was an issue but I managed to Piece parts in. Tony can really entertain a crowd just by himself.

Like the whole thing, but the piano and guitars just shine on this one. Like the message in the lyrics too.
Keep up the good work my friend, you're doing some really fine work.

Glad you liked the guitars and the piano... this song has been worn like an old 45. Vocals definitely need some work. Thanks for dropping by.

solid tune John. a nice rock ballad. I'm glad you dusted this off sounds great.
the piano work by your friend is great and fits in nicely.
TEXASFEEL
I believe Tony was heavy on some pain killer when he played this. It didn't matter, he always played well. It was a great experience to play with a real piano player.
Roxylee
Great guitar and piano, very well played and arranged!
TEXASFEEL
It's a real pleasure to see you here and also to read your encouragement.

Long time no see… and the fault is all mine. Great to hear one of your excellent Texas rocking ballads. Great riffs and voice… loved it.
TEXASFEEL
It's good to see you hanging out at macjams again. Thanks for the encouragement, it's always welcome.

Love the Logic tweak! Sound is much brighter- more clarity. This is still one of my favorites, John. Great message in the song too.
Very strong southern rock with shades of MTB and Skynyrd... and all Texas Feel at the same time!
TEXASFEEL
I think you told me you were working on some vocals... he he. I'm glad you liked this version as well. I believe this is the 3rd version posted here on MJ.

man, oh man, you got more where this came from? Just a killer hook on the chorus. Great singing, and master blaster lead playing. excellent tune
TEXASFEEL
Thanks for checking this out... I use to make the old band play this a lot. It's been tweaked several times. My friend Terry played a killer lead on this live. He did the same on another Logic version as well. Always a pleasure to read your comments.

TEXASFEEL
This is a really simple song to play and I find some of the simplest the easiest for a band to build upon. I appreciate your comments and encouragement.

"...and my hand still in the jar..."
...then the lead...sweet and quite succinct...
Nice stuff, man
TEXASFEEL
I'm happy you dropped by to take a listen. I guess it's better I keep my hands on the neck of the guitar than in the jar. Thanks for the encouragement.

Long time no see... like seeing old macjam friends.

sounds more rounded now.the vocal harmonies are cool and the lead is scorching as it jumps at you in the beginning and calms at the end very cool.nice tone on the guitars too.well done.

This is one of my absolute TEXASFEEL favs!
Thank you for a new mix .. or is it a completeley new take? I had my computer crash so I don't have axess to the previous version of the song right now .. but this sounds new, fresh and nice anyway, more clear than I remember the old one!
And the guitar solos you give here!!! .. I'm afraid I'm repeating myself, but .. I could listen to them for hours. That's no exaggeration. I completely LOVE them.
TEXASFEEL
I think there was suppose to be another version with you in it. Thanks so much for your kind comments. You the best!

Awesome tune!! Reminds me of the good ol days of Grand Funk RR and Lynard Skynard!

Everything rolls together, It almost sounds like a Marshall Tucker Band thing at first,(no offence hopefuly)
I do enjoy the little lead lines that get thrown in from time to time.
Keep it up.
