Description:
I don't own a motorcycle, but I've ridden with Magnatone. Just listen to Karen's music and you'll know what I mean. This is my little tribute to her trip-inspired compositions.
Hear that V twin poppin' along, feel the smooth shifts up through the gears and the bumps in the pavement? Oh my god! ... look ahead as we round the bend and go over the crest of the next hill.

Being bass man. I loved the bas sounds you have. Very nice organ sound.. just a well done piece!!!
announcer
Always try to start with a strong bass line and sound. It drives everything else for me. Thanks.

What a surprise this is! I have to say, you capture the energy of the ride MUCH better than I ever have! This is great - I'll especially enjoy it, and I'm really very touched! It sounds to me like you should GET a bike!
announcer
I cannot compare this to the stuff you produce based on your first had experience. What I did here is simply like secondary research. What you do is Primary Research.
btw told my wife what you said about me getting a bike. Her NO! came faster that a shift from 4th to 5th gear.

the crunch of gravel underneath my fatboy. Very punchy mix. Incredible the way you managed to get all the synths so separated & up front.
ps: thanks for all the mixing advice you've lent me recently. I feel empowered.
announcer
glad that you stopped by and I am glad that you found some value in my offered advice.

music Bill and wonderful production/mix. Headphone bliss.

I try to make everything I do sound good on headphones. It is the device I use for most of my listening these days so I want the mix to work in that venue.

you come up trumps with a great piece of original sounding music. I can almost feel the wind rushing in my face as we race along; great playing, cheers M
announcer
That is a no-no. You should not feel the wind ... you should be wearing a full helmet and full face shield. :)

and ride 'em out... this is wacky, but definitely a lot of fun! Great rhythm going throughout, and fun electronic melodies whipping through my head.
Excellent tribute to a wonderful composer and motorcycle enthusiast. Super mix and great ride!

that blunted thwack at intro reminded me of what it is you do so well, bill.
i LOVE the way you clobber space with sound.
i picture you as a robot in the passenger seat,
digitizing everything you and karen see as you zoom up the mountain.
2:29 = wonderful intensification of the groove!
i could have gone 20 seconds more of curves.
swell song!

good to see you have stopped by. Clobber space with sound...I appreciate that comment, cause I do like to investigate the z axis of the sound stage and play with all the elements especially trying to create a sense of space in a headphone mix.
