Lyrics:
Stranger things have happened in the course of my retreatImages I once held high lie scattered at my feet
If someone told me long ago I’d find myself here now
I wouldn’t have believed them then - I didn’t want to know
When I was a younger man my truth I could create
Telling lies between the lines but catching them too late
I wanted you to love me for the things that I had done
How was I to know it doesn’t matter in the end
But Oh Lord
How I can be deceived
Into thinking that reflections
Are something to believe
If I could do it all again I’d like to believe
That I’d take another course and do things differently
Vanity has led me to concluding on my fate
That somehow from this distance I can see things perfectly
But Oh Lord
How I can be deceived
Into thinking that reflections
Are something to believe

I really enjoyed the lyrics on this one. I enjoyed the way the verses were sung but I imagined a little more power behind the chorus. The guitar / drum beat was nicely done. Overall good song. Thanks for sharing.

the time to comment. I'll see if I can get some more oomph behind the chorus at rehearsal tomorrow night. We have a gig next week to get ready for.

you know there is a cool blend of U2 and the Byrds here. Way to go, who would ever thought it possible.... well you guys did.
sounding pretty tight with a little proper amount of loosness.

I thought I was just ripping off R.E.M. - but the Byrds were one of my faves as a kid. You're kind about the "proper looseness".

Nothing as cool as when the energy from a band performing live reaches from the stage and grabs the listener like this does. I can hear and feel that you guys have a good time here.

positive feedback. We're just trying to get better.

I love the shout too - I want that person at every show. I appreciate you mentioning Steven in your comment. We're doing a tribute show with other bands on his birthday in June.
