Come By The Hills

Description
Traditional Irish ballad covered by many musicians. One of my favourites. Speaks of home and quiet, tranquil times.
... cares of tomorow must wait til this day is done.

Lyrics
Come by the hills to the land where fancy is free.
And stand where the peaks meet the sky and the rocks reach the sea.
Where the rivers run clear and the bracken is gold in the sun.
And cares of tomorrow must wait till this day is done.

Come by the hills to the land where life is a song
And sing while the birds fill the air with their joy all day long.
Where the trees sway in time, and even the wind sings in tune.
And cares of tomorrow must wait till this day is done.

Come by the hills to the land where legend remains
Where stories of old stir the heart and may yet come again.
Where the past has been lost and the future is still to be won.
And cares of tomorrow must wait till the day is done.

Come by the hills to the land where fancy is free.
And stand where the peaks meet the sky and the rocks reach the sea.
Where the rivers run clear and the bracken is gold in the sun.
And cares of tomorrow must wait till this day is done.

Wow.
Another fine tune....way to go. Soothing harmonies and
and a great voice. Not sure if I should cry, or if if I should
grab me a Guinness. (I may end up doing both if I have
enough Guinness) Good stuff...keep jammin'. Cheers!

Intimate performance
Great version of a great song! I really like the flute, which sounds quite authentic. I've been looking for a good flute instrument, where did you find this one?

The vocals are very good. The backing vocal part creates a real sense of intimate space. I would suggest tweaking the reverb just a bit to make it brighter. There's kind of a muffled bass tone that a more reflective reverb setting might clear up. (7-8-7-8)

Thanks for the feedback. The flute is a Garageband instrument. It is classical
flute from the woodwinds. I'm not sure if it is part of the original install or
from Jampack 1.

What a pearl.
Beautiful traditional folk. What a pearl. The love you
bring to it is apparent. The track maybe uses too many
effects for my taste, and is a little quite (it sounded much
better when I turn it up). But your presentation is
wonderful, moving. Nice choice and use of instruments.
