I was just beginning to sing my own ad lib vocal as the intro played... not knowing if this had a vocal... and then your vocals came in. Beautiful. Well done. Very well done.

classic indie sounds, really liked this one. the instruments, the vox and the lyrics were all great to me. nice job.

this is going. Reminds me of Pedro the Lion's "Control" album. I'd like to hear some low-end countermelody. Not through the whole song, for sure. Just something to pop in and out to mix it up and surprise you. VERY interesting and cool lyrics.
Vic Holman
I really like this song. kinda Death Cab For Cutie.
But... you are really running hot on this mix. Maybe to much gain on the limiter.

Death Cab for Cutie and I can get that feel totally. I also feel Shins or Decemberists type of sound - indie to the max basically. I definitely enjoyed this one but not as much as buildings collapse. I understand what Vic means about the mix being a little hot but other than that everything is meshing prett well. Great Job.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate that you guys liked the song. and vic i think you are dead on with the gain on the limiter, i scaled it back and the song breathes better now. Good call!
Thanks again for your support

.. that got me .. the backing is very indie, well done an' all .. but it's the vocals that made this shine for me.
The guitar has that Coldplay/Radiohead tone/rhythm... and "like a pallbearers muscle stew" is an intriguing evocative lyric.
Ever heard of 'Bell & Sebastian'? Your vocals remind me a little of him in some way. If not .. try "The state I am in".
Good luck with your EP.

your voice reminds me of Built to Spill, but you've definitely got your own thing going...very good stuff. Looking forward to more!!

wonderful vocals - smooth and sliding right through those great guitars and percussion. very cool tune. this could use some soft, easy piano. but it really doesn't need anything. great song - can't wait to hear more of your stuff.

This is a great song. The vocals are awesome. You post the lyrics. I like the build in energy and then the change into the vocs.

Josh, you're talent's all over this. You'll be making a living at this soon if you figure out how and where to promote your talent, if you're already not. This is 100% together. Dynamics are so clear, great separation yet it soars as a unified whole--nothing sticking out to "push down" at the board. This is so great at every level, down to the mastering.
As long as everyone's talking about indie bands.. if you want to gig with a cool band with some jazz-tinged arrangements more sophisticated than the usual suspects, check out The Sea and Cake.
