Description
A simple boogie thing dedicated to fusion energy, the energy of the stars (ummm ... the ones in the sky), featuring a bunch of Ibanez noodling, a 6/8 interlude, an inexplicable break, and a big rock finish. Comments and criticisms are appreciated.

The singing Ibanez
infused with noodles, stars and root beer, is going down well this side. Big sound with a bit of an attitude. Love this groove, it changes in all the right places very tastefully done. I don't know how you are getting those guitar tones, but don't stop they are addictive. Looks like you came out of the closet with the riff fingers, and the drums are really swinging the rocking horse too. What does your brother make of it? Really great song, please keep on inventing your musical adventures, i love the rides.

I'm honored, sir.
Thanks for the very nice comments, Tokai. This was a bit of a simple one, just for fun. Back to proggy I'm thinking. As for my brother, he hasn't chimed in yet. He'll probably say that it needs a real bass player (which is true).

Holy riffage, Batman!
Awesome tone on that guitar.. would love to know how you are getting that tone. The interlude was very cool... also liked how you tied in that cool main riff into the solo parts. Real nice playing.

There is a spot (at 22 seconds) where it seems to lurch a little..sort of jumps time. It was almost forgotten by the end of the song with so much other interesting stuff going on.

Great rockin' song!

Guitar tone ...
is mostly a Boss GT-8 (and the Ibanez JS1000), which goes directly to the convertor. The lurch was intentional. One of my habits, I guess, is to make my "drummers" go off time, then come back on. Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. Thanks for the comments. Glad you liked it.

Wow.
Great imagery, Timothy. You must be a lyricist. Thanks for the kind words on the arrangement. And thanks for giving this a listen.

killer
guitar, and the rhythm section/time signatures make it all the more of a wild ride. Love the overall sound and groove. High octane.

Hey, Karma.
It was good of you to stop by and listen. Thinking about your music, I realized that the keys here could have used a bit more attention. Oh well, I would probably just make a mess of it. Thanks!

I gots to know!
Alright man how are you doing the Drums? . . .and the sounds on the kit are just great! Your guitar playing and tones are of course wonderful and your signature. Again, it grabs you and you can't get off until the ride is over. Well produced and performed.
Hooked!

Nice words. Unfortunately, my folks won't let me play with lighters. The last time I did I tried to ... well, nevermind that.

Thanks smashd.
That's very flattering, but I haven't mastered ANYTHING, especially guitar. But there are a lot of guitar maniacs at MJ who can play circles around me to provide inspiration. I appreciate you giving this a listen, and thanks again for your nice words.

Oh, you know, the usual thing. Boy meets guitar. Boy falls in love with guitar. Familiarity and contempt set in. Boy leaves guitar. New guitar comes into boy's life. The cycle continues. Sigh ... ah, love. A young and devastatingly charm... [see more]
