Description
This my first tune I wrote to begin the NY 2009. Although I am a keyboard player, I found this great nylon string sample and a realistic flute sample and decided to experiment with trying out some ideas. I am a big fan of guitarists Al Di Meola and John McLaughlin. Both of these fine players have produced acoustic guitar compositions on several albums. Their influence and style are what motivated me to try something new for me. I had to "think" like a guitar player, meaning left hand was to handle the fret and neck, the right hand to pluck the strings and hit chords. It's my first try at this, so bear with me. The beginning of the tune has a solo guitar intro. Then about 3 bars of silence, next a bongo type sound to emulate tapping the base of the "guitar." And then a melody with "flute." Some more improvisation, minor scales like Al and John use in their playing. Anyway...let's see what happens.

The composition itself just fantasting ..the intro is fabulous took a while
but thats ok ...as you are waitin for a cool treat with the percussion and
the flute of magic ...this is very thoughtful ...I have to admit the gutiar
intro as a sound sample is not realsitic had some mechanical sound but it
work much better with the flutes and percussion ..good job ...thnx alot for
sharin !!!

Hey Feter Thanks for the listen. I must confess, I am a frustrated guitar player, since this was really my first instrument that I took lessons on after seeing a live Peter, Paul and Mary concert. But I could never seem to get the bar chords together, so I swiched to organ/piano.There is nothing that can replace a master guitar player, that is a given. We can fake it to a point, but...hehhe. And of course the guitar players are always on stage wailing away, while us keyboardist are usually hidden behind a stack of boards, unless of course we have a Yamaha rig like Jan Hammer and Chick used on live gigs.

I am still loking online for more guitar samples to experiement with in GB. I'll keep ya posted
