Erraticism Suite

Description
Definition of 'suite' on the Web:

"A musical composition of several movements only loosely connected."

Perfect. That's what it is. Six separate strands joined end to end. It's not hard rock. It's not proggy, not really, but close enough. It's happy. It's unhappy. It's playful. It's serious. It's confused. It's ... it's ... ummm ... it's erratic.

And you can't dance to it either.

Shheeetttt
love it what ever it is. Sounds like a complete track to me, i just wanted a bit more of that master blaster stuff, this crying out for more. Beautiful guitar sound really got that tone coming together sweetly. Never a dull moment, all of it was a treat. You should make a habit out of this songwriting technique it suits you sir.

A habit?
Well, it is a BAD habit of mine to try to jam five songs into one. I just have too much fun. Must try to exercise some discipline. Thanks for your support.

You have skills man! To play and to produce. Your guitar skills show in that you can hold the listener's interest. This shows that you are not just throwing down a series of riff but using your instrument as your vehicle. I think you do the same thing with your production skills. Very nice.
Great respect,
Stephen

Stephen...
Thanks for the generous words. It's nice to use my guitar as a vehicle, but it would be better if the vehicle went somewhere, huh? I might revisit bits of this in the future and try to flesh it out. Thanks again.

I don't know for sure..
what industrial music is but this had a kind of industrial feel to it. Always attention getting and somewhat surprising. I liked it very much. Thanks.

Surprising? Maybe.
A bit of flailing, perhaps. It's a learning experience. Thanks much.

Hi, Wummiman.
Thanks! It's a pastiche for sure. Still working on the bass thing. I have one now. That's a start. Ibanez SRX500. I appreciate your comments and advice.

Nothing wrong with a good medley ;-)
I wish I had this many ideas to fill up a song or two with... You have and you mix them beautifully into a sweet suite! I come to think of an introductory song to a big show (like a rock opera?!) which picks bits and pieces from the later songs to wet our appetite. So now you just have to record all those different songs! Happy 2009! :-)

Thanks for the download!

I'm a starter ...
but I need to be more of a finisher, I guess. I have lots of ideas, but often it's a small idea, not enough for a complete piece. Well, that's probably not so uncommon. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and dropping a comment. Appreciated!

Drums
I use Addictive drums too - but how you do this is beyond me - penciled? Bloody hell! They just sound like a top, top drummer or maybe even better.
This is just wonderful from start to finish.
Absolutely downloaded. Thanks.
Cheers
Len

Progressive and Metal textures too
This is cool. Sonic overdrive. Spacey. Beautifully produced. I like the way you overlay metal textures/tones but don't push it all the way. It's kind of balanced.

Inspired.
I love this. The percussion is amazing. I have to check out Addictive drums. I usually kontakt and Ez Drummer. Love the guitar tone. I really like the flow of composition. I know what you mean about trying to pick a genre for music like this. I have the same problem with most of my tunes. I would call this "art rock" but that's mostly because the like the implication. This is has great artistry.

Oh, you know, the usual thing. Boy meets guitar. Boy falls in love with guitar. Familiarity and contempt set in. Boy leaves guitar. New guitar comes into boy's life. The cycle continues. Sigh ... ah, love. A young and devastatingly charm... [see more]
