Description
A simple ambient piece based on a system of 4ths, with an added major 6th here and there for a little flavor. Seven tracks of Zebra 2, dedicated to the wonderfully diverse animal life of the Great White North. I hope you like it.

Hi......
This is a very thought-provoking piece of ambience. I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.

The Zebra2 is indeed a fantastic soft synth and Ozone is the business for finishing off the production on any mix.

I look forward to more tunes from you.

Take care.

Paul

Thanks Paul.
I'm honored. More tunes on the way, I hope. The Zebra can do far more than I'm able to do with it. I've only started to scratch the surface. Much to learn, with less and less time to practice.

Beautiful
Now I know who you are! ;)

You create a space in your music that I can only dream about. This is really really nice.

BTW - we have lots of Bewick's and Whooper swans wintering around these parts, as well as all sorts of arctic geese. I often see them flying over the river in the morning, in a great "V" formation: a beautiful sight. Amazing creatures, considering the distances they cover.

Hi, Dava.
I appreciate your input. Thank you, sir. I get these bouts of fixation with the northern lands. I've never been up there, never even been above the 54th parallel, but I read about it and fantasize about packing up and moving. Thanks again!

lovely
some really nice touches here:that brush sound is great, is that an electronic noise buried in the mix? zebra is a really nice synth, have fun. i know what you mean about more to learn, but less time.

Noise?
Yeeesh. Your ears are probably better than mine. I didn't put any noise in intentionally. The brush sound is kind of accidental. It's actually part of the instrument sound that does the bass part in the first half of the song. I decided to keep it in because it adds a subtle bit of rhythm. Thanks very much for your comments, Max ... errrr ... Michael.

calming
I guess like taking a walk in a nature preserve. Very open and textured. Listened to it while I toiled in my cubicle. Hope the feeling lingers with me all day

tundra
I love the sort of vibrating, brush stroke sounds. I see they were accidental, but I agree they add a cool sort of rhythm to the piece. in fact, they really brought the title of this piece to life for me, adding a sort of "wings moving through the air" feel. Excellent choice of sounds, you've created a gorgeous soundscape here, full of gentle movement and just enough space to give a sense of the chill and vastness of the northern tundra. Great stuff!

Hi Kenta.
I like my ambient simple. That makes it harder in some ways, easier in others. I'm glad that you found something agreeable in the piece. Thanks for listening and commenting!

Nice with some REAL ambient music!
(Many posted on MJ is not, as you may have noticed.)

As always I admire, even envy, the incredible sound quality you always get in your music. Crystal clear, open spaces... In this case fits the song title very well, too!

To me it sounds as if this piece is about to mix into the next one "on the CD"?! Hopefully you can get inspiration to go on with this or at least this kind of music. It's really, really great. Thanks for your note, too. I'll respond presently.

Stay well!

/Henke

Haha. Yes, I noticed.
I was thoroughly indoctrinated with the Hearts of Space radio program back in the 80s, which played mostly space ambient. I miss that show. And I have yet to compose a passable space ambient piece, which is my favorite variant of ambient. Thanks very much for giving this a listen. I'm a big fan of your music, and I value your opinion.

grace of swans
it is a graceful bird. it inspires serene beauty. however, sometimes its voice is not beautiful. it is a sound of humour.

the music is like the swan. the "wow" of the synthesizer makes me smile. it has some humour. however, the music is also majestic. it carries grace to the lake of serenity. it is a perfect reflection of swans. 0x0

Bliss in swan
I love especially here how fine and subtle you've rendered in music the wings of the swan,
a trademark of a great artist. It's such a huge pleasure to listen to your outstanding music ! Thanks !
