Description
One of my first compositions after figuring out how to set up chord progressions in GarageBand. The key is C and the chords I worked with are Eb, Ab and Bb.
The fascinating thing I'm learning through this and a couple other songs I've worked on is that rhythm can be conveyed by absence of sound. A Rhodes keyboard is fantastic for that in how gummy its notes are, taking their time to get to full tone.
I did a lot of work on this by just dropping notes and hitting the up just before the beat with others-- skipping into the beat.
After I'd worked its effects to my liking, I called the keyboard "Electric Chocolate." I'll be using it more in other compositions.
Claudia is my girlfriend. She's a beautiful person to spend time with.
