Oregon Sunrise
iS THIS a real harp playing ? ..I think the duet of the flute
over the harp is more than magic and what most expensive computers
and softwares tried to imitate ..gorgeous composition ..but what
most outstanding is the floating nature of the performers just
superb spiritual sound here ...thank you so much for sharing such
art ...!!!!

real harp
YES, it's a real harp! Aren't I lucky to get this opportunity to play with such excellent players? Look back here in two weeks and we'll post our up-dated version of the piece after incorporating the composer's suggestions into our playing.

Very fitting
I saw a pretty, misty January sunrise on a little lake down in Cottage Grove, OR, and it was very still and relaxing (after the duck-hunting gunfire settled down, but seriously it was a nice sunrise!) This composition seems to capture that feeling nicely. And your playing really accentuates the gentle mood, I like it. Also, the recording is quite good too, although perhaps the harp could be just a little louder. Was this a one-take recorded performance (with two flautists) or did you play each flute part? I heard no problems in any of the parts, all sounded quite lovely. How wonderful to have the composer's piece played live! Hope he/she likes it. I did.

sunrise
Yes, this was a one-take recording in my living room. I don't know what part of Oregon the composer visited but I'll get to ask her that in March when she comes for the performance. Two different people played flute and I think the two different tone qualities make the piece much more interesting that the midi version where both parts sound alike. The composer liked the piece but wants it to go faster. Next time it will.

Really enjoyable
Very clear and nice technical control with the mix. The only disappointing aspect to you presentation is that you quashed the downloadability to where we could listen to this at other times. None the less it is still a nice piece.

downloadability
Sorry not to make this possible but I'm not the composer, just one of the performers. I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway. Look back here after February 6 and I'll post a new, up-dated version after we incorporate the composer's suggestions into our playing.
