Lyrics
THE RADIO THEATRE.
The Radio Theatre back in '62
Small town kids, not too much to do.
Friday nights with the local crew.
Runnin' wild at the Radio Theatre.
Candy flyin' down across the floor
Elvis on the screen, we'd seen it before.
12 years old, wantin' a whole lot more
Than we could ever se at the Radio Rheatre
Wheatbelt town sittin' on the coast
High school blues an' Vegemite on toast.
No TV, but we sure made the most of...
'Friday night at the Radio Theatre.
The Radio Theatre was, some other world.
Somewhere in time, some long erased word....
That I wrote down in a book
A life time ago.
Can't recall just what her name was
But she showed me how to masturbate....
Not so much physically but, more with words....oh
The back stalls of the Radio Theatre.
The Radio Theatre back in '62
Adolescent dreams that might never come true.
Boyhood thrills that now seem so few
Times were fine at the Radio Theatre!
