Sorry (remix f. Luna Trick)

Description
I originally wanted a real cello in the previous version of this song (in place of the synth), but I didn't know of anyone here who played one. That is until heard Luna Trick and michael2's fantastic cello/theremin collab. So I asked Luna if he'd oblige and lucky for me he said yes. Not only did he play the part I asked for but he also did a cool little intro as well. This here is the result, along with a bit of a remix to back off the levels on the ending (which was a tad too hot), and dry out the vocals as the chorus effect was clashing with the cello.
I love the deep wooden sound of the cello in this. Absolutely nothing beats the fullness of real instrument. Thanks a ton Luna Trick. You nailed it and then some.

Lyrics
I'm sorry I didn't say
"I'm sorry" to you again
I'm sorry that I'm this way
I am sorry I'm a pain

Why are you running away?
Is it me you cannot face?
I can tell you're not okay
So I am sorry, I'll obey

You get off on making me submit
But I am the only one
That'll put up with all this

Look who's finally here again
I couldn't wait til you got in
I've got something to confess
I am sorry for this mess

You're not the only one
To dig into this hole
But you won't be the first
Ghost to haunt this empty soul

Sorry...

great job
working the cello into this cool tune. love the lyrics and delivery. that deep, soulful cello really adds a cool flavor to the piece - I especially love how it leads and blends into that wild guitar at 2:00. fantastic as always!

Sorry
ok first of all - I LOVE your big sigh just before the music starts. This song has it all - your vocals Ridd are so great, the cello addition is sublime and you're right that Daniel nailed it. And THEN - it turns into this total HEAD BANGER, and I just love the contrast between the first and second parts of this song. Fabulous head banging guitar - GREAT work!

Great collab
we're getting some amazing work out of collective efforts these days and this is one of the best examples of what happens when two really creative talents get together. My God Ridd - part 2 is a monster. Pinned my ears right back. Next time you start all breathy and intimate I'm gonna keep my finger on the volume button. Fantastic.

Woah...
... this is absolutely gorgeous. Has an early 90's vibe that feels authentic and not staged. Great vocal over the beautiful cello work. Awesome collab. One for my iPod.

hey
thanks a lot. I get that comparison to the '90s vibe' a lot and I don't mind one bit. Even though I grew up on 70s and 80s music, 90s alt rock really stirred something up in me and I guess it influenced me the most. And to hear you say that it sounds authentic really means a lot to me too becasue I'm always afraid it'll come off as you say 'staged'. Thanks for the feedback, man.

there's always room for cello!
yeah! that's the real deal.
i've gotten use to the synth cellos. then upon hearing this version, I'm hearing the wood tones come out.
excellent idea to use Daniel's talent here

thanks vic
yeah it's SO cool to have a real cello on this. software can come pretty damn close to emulating the sound, but nothing can duplicate the feeling a musician puts into the manual performance.
