Siren's Song

Description
Collaboration between Wharmton Rise and Lori Cunningham.

I wanted to get back to my operatic/classical training and I love vocalizing songs. The vocals were originally recorded for another track, but that collaboration fell through. I sent them to Wharmton Rise (a friend from OurStage.com) to see what he could do with them. He messed and spliced and changed pitches for a neat effect while adding his own ingenious instrumentation and mixing to the table.

siren song
this is incredibly full and lush, deep sounds, flowing and full of great sonic textures - not the least of which is your gorgeous voice. again you have managed to use your voice as part of the whole - another instrument added to this beautifully composed piece. Wharmton Rise did an excellent job with the music moving underneath and around you. I loved the harp. an excellent piece of music. i really love songs with no lyrics - lets me totally immerse myself in the sound of your voice without having to worry about listening for what you're saying. very very cool stuff.

Very beautiful singing, and a splendid piece of music floating underneath. I love the Dor'e artwork too.

Wow
What power and grace in this. It's no wonder the sailers of old where drawn in by the Siren's Song.

A wonderful Collaboration, the power and beauty of you voice with this wonderful background music that Wharmton Rise put together. Thank you for sharing such an amazing piece with us.

Be well and be cool,

Ed

Siren Song
Very well arranged and orchestrated. Instrument choices are exceptional. The various parts you sing nestle perfectly into the music. Very enjoyable from start to finish.

Lovely arrangement...
I really like the choice of instruments... particularly the guitar and harp. But that voice.... powerful, alluring, all the things a siren should be. This harkens back to some really fine operatic bands in the late 80s/ early 90s (Cocteau Twins, Vas, Miranda Sex Garden, etc.) - but with a definite contemporary thrust. This is very mature work... and I'm glad you have joined us on MacJams!

Interesting and different
Well at least your voice is prominent in the mix on this one so that should keep people here happy. :)

A very warm and lush soundscape makes the perfect backdrop.

lush
Trained is absolutely right, and quite evident in your vocalizing here.

You are a nice add to the macjams community and it won't be long now, before your schedule is suddenly filled with collabs people will have recruited you for.

Well, if you wanted to keep your tonsils in shape, this be the place.

Thanks for leaving this magnificent siren song that pulled me in for a listen........you rock.

Ooh, this is another favourite! Your vocals are stunning on this. Yet again, I love the way you use your voice as another instrument. I also love the way the musical textures flow and work with each other - another fabulous job. You've got a definite fan here!

confluence
it melts a beautiful analog voice onto a beautiful digital ocean. it is easy to drown in this beauty. i hold my breath and submerge. the light dims. the music washes away my fear of death. the harp carries away safety. darkness descends. i am lost. 0x0

Have you tried it with the bottom player? The distortion with the top player is bad, I know. :( You're very sweet, Char! Thanks for taking the time to listen, despite the distortion, and the comment!
