Description
Luna's Note:

Before you all jump on me for yet another song posting, this is an old track that I sort of lost direction with - and one that the Phil Spector of iComps was kind enough to recontextualize for me. I make no apologies for the lyrics!

Mick D's Note:

In our ongoing series of re-mastered and doctored tracks from the vault of Lunatrick. I proudly present Remembrance. Another track Daniel sent me that he thought could use a little tender loving lion taming! I ended up re-contextualizing and adding keyboards and re-doing the drums. Other than that it's all the man himself, Lunatrick Ladies and gentlemen!!!!

Daniel Staniforth: Composition, Lyrics, Vocals, Guitars, Bass
Mark Deskin: Production, Mix and a touch of sweat.

Enjoy!

Lyrics
Always in the temple of your smile
I see windows teem in golden boughs
I swim rivers of the greatest ease
Always, always you're within my reach
I feel rainbows softly under my tongue
and the ocean caresses my face
always in remembrance of you

Smooth
Guys, I dig the drums with those nice guitar chords. The reverb is lush. Very nice track!

cool atmospherics....
the reverbed guitar really makes it. A retro kind of feel to this. I like how you go into the middle... 16? or is it 24? heheh. And nice vocal come on. Good one Luna. I like this. Mellow mind drift music.

This is so solid.
There is a pathos, a kind of biblical proportion to the story that the music and lyrics and voice tell. Fabulous artwork to go with it. Powerful and spellbinding. What a brilliant piece! I'd like to hear more of this. Thanks.

Oh look, another song posting ... ;)
Blimey, this is good. The instrumentation all slots together like a particularly satisfying jigsaw.

Luxurious production, and presumably we have Mick D to thank for that ...

Yes we have Mark to thank...

drakonis said 301 days ago (January 29th, 2009)
very nice as usual
First, the nits... The high lead guitar that sometimes shows up on the far left has a far-right echo, and in headphones, that's sort of distracting. But that's it, the melodies, the jazzy feel, the wide open mix, singing, dreamy lyrix, and nice ending, all add up to another good piece. Glad that Mark could add his great magic to this, sounds great! Oh, and that artwork is definitely burned into my brain now, thanks! :-)

Funny thing is... I originally adlibbed these lyrics on the fly and was going to change them. Mark liked the feel of them - so we left them as is!
