Description
The first version of Shenandoah (May 2005) was pretty much done in an afternoon, and I've always wanted to redo the vocals. So, with the MJ Reunion challenge, I decided to do this song right.
Throughout the past several months I've been having vocal challenges resulting from eosinophilic esophagitis (Google that if you dare!) and its treatment. I've always considered my voice a gift, and so I consider the fact I was able to, throughout three recording sessions, get some vocals that matched my hope for this song, a gift.
It's also been a gift to be able to record and share so many songs and collaborations in the past 4 years here at MacJams.
In the meantime, I'll keep singing--carefully--with gratitude that places like MJs have made it possible to create and share music that I love.
Thank you for listening :)
Changes in this version of Shenandoah:
Changing the basic piano to JamPack Symphony Steinway instrument.
Rerecording all vocal parts, including a new 3rd chorus voice.
Remixing in Logic Studio 8.

I redid an old rocker for the festival - it was great sprucing it up!
I hope it all works out - a voice like yours is a gift... thanks for sharing it with us.
