Description
Here is a 3 song set that is a direct result of my doing 3 things.
Buying my first "Real" Apple computer, an old PowerMac G4. That got me playing music again after 14 year because I wanted to try out recording music on the computer.
Buying a Tascam FW1804 interface and Cubase SE-3. That allowed me to learn about recording new music again, but this time in the digital domain.
And finally Joining MacJams. The people I've met here, have helped to sustained me as I was getting back to writing and recording new music again after so many years.
So these Reunion Festival songs are my way of remembering and acknowledging how and why I came to this wonderful place and how that decision healed my musical soul. It is through all of you, and your kindness, acceptance, and encouragement of me as a person and a musician that these songs are not only possible, but in fact a reality.
I thank you all more that you will ever know for that, you have deeply touched my spirit.
And now, on with the show
This is a 3 song set that shows what I consider milestones in my musical growth during the first year I was here on MacJams. Getting into the spirit of the Reunion, I've made this a live performance on the stage here at the Festival.
SONG 1
The first song in the set was recorded in 1990. It's called "Fallen Angel"
It was originally recorded on an analog tape deck. I remastered it on the Mac and posted it here for the first time in 2007. This was the first time I posted a song where I felt I got fairly good results with my new equipment and software.
SONG 2
The second song in the set is called, "What do you know about love"
This is the first of my old songs I complete remade after I joined MacJams. It is an entirely new version and totally different than the original version, which was a Waltz.
SONG 3
The third song in the set is called, "Funky world of Da Funk"
This is the first new song of any kind I'd done in 14 years, and is a direct result of getting GarageBand, the Mac, and joining MacJams.
Listening to all of you, and to your encouragement, gave me the will and freedom to go back to my musical roots of Rock, Funk, and the Blues and replay those songs that were in my head back so many years ago. I was also encouraged to experiment, and on this song I did just that.
Again I thank all of you for listening. I hope you enjoy this Reunion set and all the other fine music you'll hear by the wonderful artists and entertainers here on MacJams and at the MacJams Reunion Festival.
Be well and be cool, peace

what an idea, for a stage set! (taking notes on how to be clever). I was trying to come up with one song by deadline...
Spank Me Naked!
Man, you rock...
