Description
Another old song of mine- I wrote the beginnings of this when I was about 15 or 16.

After MJ UK, and meeting Stevel - I was wondering if I had something in my repertoire that might suit him, so we could work on something together... and then I remembered this one.

Imo, this is very different to my usual fare, much more soulful, bluesy and jazzy.. so much so, I really needed a lot of help to complete it, and I am proud to present to you:

stevel - vocals, lead guitar (1st solo- then in L for the outro) [stolen from the 2005 stage/camp]
Feter - vocals [2006]
musichead - bass guitar [2006]
estellie - backing vocals [2006]
APB - the other bits [2006]

Composition and production- APB
Arrangement- APB, stevel and estellie
Lyrics- estellie, stevel and APB

Lyrics
You take a taxi,
And think of what's been said.
You bear it all alone,
Lying in your bed.
Wake up,
You better wake up.

Your mind is racing,
And noone's gonna know.
You don't wanna,
Let this passion go.

They don't understand you,
And man they never will.
You bought some silence,
Livin' in a shell.

Hmm :o)

Freefall devotion.

They don't see all your anger and pain.
They can't feel this-
Constant emotion.

And in the quiet,
You hear the silent shout.
"Why don't you try it?"
Free from fear and doubt.

Freefall devotion.

They don't see all your anger and pain.
They can't feel this-
Constant emotion.

Constant emotion....

Great song and even greater production.
this is sort of reminiscent of Imaginary Lover by Atlanta Rhythm Section from back in the late 60's or early 70's, and thats, to me, is a very good thing. I love the feel and rhythm of this and the lyrics are killer, as is your vox. Wonderful production and mixing on it too.

Great, great song that I just love. Very nicely done collab.

Ok... dang it...
I favorited this and posted a comment just after it was posted and it got lost... rats... Ok well Rebsie said it great: Supergroup...

I mean Allan on strings, Stevel adding and popping in deep vocals. Estellie filling things out vocally... Musichead thumping the bass... Ok where do I pay for my ticket man?

Super Excellent!

Nice
What a great collection of talent! And really nice song. Love the jazzy feel, and the lyrics are excellent - depth and subtlety; you wrote this as a teenager? Impressive. Great range of voices, and beautiful guitar by stevel. Nice tight bass, and great percussion. Lovely stuff. Not what I expected, but what a pleasant surprise. Nicely done. Kudos to all involved. Peace.
