Three Below Zeros (MJRF - 2005/06 & 09)

Description
If it wasn't for MacJams, this would never have happened. This song has been 4 years in the making and now we are proud to present Bud & Five Extra Arms (2005), & The Infinites (2006) coming together in 2009 as the 'Three Below ZeroZ'. The Infinites first met 5EA in NYC in 2007, and again in 2008, where Bud (and the now deleted Tom Wounded aka Dark Planet) also made appearances to make the day. The artwork was taken at a point where Bud's printed flyers had just been posted, to advertize the various bands that took part in the MJs CBGB;s Demo Challenge in May 2008.

It is true testament to MJs that music DOES bring people together - we are constantly in awe of each other's work. It's a gift that we all should revere.

LET THE MUSIC PLAY!!!!!!

Lyrics
Three Below Zeros
Your Robert De Niro's
We're no more heroes today
Cashing our chips in
We know our ship's in
Right now we're coming your way

Getting our groove on
So let's get a move on
Nothing will stand in our way
Three Below Zeros
Your Robert De Niro's
We're gonna get you today....

Zeros! X2 Heroes! X2

Don’t be a smarty
Where’s the nearest party?
Come on and join in the game
Three Below Zeros
Your Robert De Niro's
Get down and come out to play

Three Below Zeros
Your Robert De Niro's
We're no more heroes today
Three Below Zeros
Your Robert De Niro's
We're no more heroes today

Heroes! Zeros!

Jim - great job on the vocals and final mix
and a special thanks for instigating this little project. I had a wonderful time bouncing tracks back and forth with you two guys. Couldn't wish for better band mates - and at this distance we're sure to keep our hands off each others wives. When's our next gig?

A Good Day At The Office For All -
Guitar work is great - has an almost Arabian feel in places, and of course, Bob's bass was the catalyst for the entire song.

It was simply the photo that gave me the idea, and I'm glad you guys jumped on board so readily.

Next gig - as soon as we get over the jet-lag from playing in Oz, man!

Whatta CLAB!!
Hey guys,

this was a top notch effort from beginning to end. I found the various stages of the song's development to be rather astonishing. The song could've gone a million directions and throughout the entire process, we were all cool with the direction it took us.

When Bud first laid his guitar on us, I thought it was a 2009 version of Tom Verlaine from Television. What a riff. It's been stuck in my head since day one!

And Jim, you've outdone yourself with the vocals and all the production that you threw into this.

I'm looking forward to our next tune!

You guys are stars.

Bob

PS the 3 of us beneath the Lenny Zero flier - what an inspiration!

celsius or fahrenheit ?
This is a genre unto itself. I like everything the guitar does, flanging, chiming etc...on the tight bass and sequences. Great.

Outstanding!
Very cool. This just rocks. Great thumping drums, and energetic, vital vocals. Love the guitars, great riffing and lovely sound. Love the words, too ("Your Robert de Niro's" - love it!) and such great delivery. Excellent vibe. Like New Order meets the B52s, but funkier! Nice work. A great testament to what can come from the combination of such great talents. Kudos to all involved. Peace.

Cool ..

.. great to see you guys getting together and an excellent collab. The mix of influences does give a kinda overall B52s impression, like Dave mentioned... just
lacks some screamin' chicks ;o).

Groovy, suburban under-ground.

You are going to hate me:
I could see you as Devo with the red flower pot hats. Good thing for you that you don't have to dress weird to make a statement, any more. And, um, there should be a law against your having this much fun. Thanks.

Are We Not Men?
We Could Never Hate You!

So, are you saying you don't like bands that think it's OK to dress weird?

Thanks Char!!
