Description

sheep. Animals; I suppose i just love that album so much, it is so underestimated . This is a my tribute to it.
Joe and i have been chewing the cud on this idea for ages. He sent me the sheep and it went from there!
Heightened, did the first intro and the vocals. Thanks for all your help and debate on the matter.
I should not have chosen the drum pattern it was difficult to keep time with, but i liked the vibe of it. The drums are a bit of a mess, anyone fancy adding something in that dept or any other would be great.
My second venture in logic studio. My mac is having trouble keeping up with it, and makes all sorts of strange adjustment to the track while i am asleep. Another RAM of gig is on ORDER.
This is a song about seeing out of the old, i hope.... the end of the winter, i pray.

	understated and very atmospheric. I like it. Heightened did a fine job of layering the audio clips. Its was just right, not too dense, with a keen ear for keeping the listener engaged. Now i'm headed over to his page to check it out. My only observation on the drums, would be maybe they sit a tad high in the mix? Fine collab gents. Check out my latest song called Texas stump

	Hi Jon Thanks mate, agreed drums are too high and a bit scruffy, very difficult to add to the 2 step groove, and for some strange reason all the tracks would move about ever so slightly, meaning every time i went back to the track i would spend ages repositioning them, don't quite understand that. RAM ... sheep ... I get it.
A fitting tribute to PF. Animals is far and away my favorite from them, and in fact, Sheep is my favorite tune by them (especially the last few minutes). The bass pulse is tense and Floydish. The clean guitar sounds great. The two-chord combination is ... what ... kind of questioning and forlorn. I love the choir voices in the background, too. Again, I'm impressed with your restraint. Very tasteful adornments, and, of course, you are the master at working the spoken voice into music. My compliments to Heightened, also. Excellent collaboration, gentlemen.

Clean.Crystal clear mix.
Are you starting to get on with the pod? Sounds like it.
I'm not familiar with Animals so can't relate to the tribute but for me as a tune i really like the vibe. It moves along very well and I didn't pick up on any awkwardness regarding bass and drum. The guitars sound great, i'm digging the flurries of fills and realy like the way things seem to come and go/fade in and out of the mix. It gives it a certain mood.

Not familiar with animals, perhaps i could persuade you to check it out. I never got it first off, or second, but in a way that is why i respect it, it is not conventional, but is quintessentially english in a nice dark sarcastic manner. Yes, the pod, i have programmed my own sounds, in fact, for this track we have sheep 1,2,3,4, etc, i used just pre sets before, i am still not that happy with its heavier sounds though¡ I am learning all the time and that is what it is all about to me. Now i have to learn logic, and that could take a very long time. Cheers Ted. Thanks for the comment.

	yes in deed me too...... early 20's it became my companion. Perhaps i hated Mary Whitehouse and that crusade as much as they did. 	Shame we don't see Heightened here much anymore. Great collaboration - fantastic mix. I actually love the drums and don't think they are too high in the mix. Very interesting track Steve
It's great to see Joe back here - and the two of you putting together such a cool collab. I'm a big Animals fan myself and had the pleasure of having stage passes when they played it at the Garden in NYC way back when. It was pretty damn scary to tell you the truth - powerful mojo for my young brain.
You've done a really good job of capturing some of that mojo and bringing it to a new place. In my mind I always sound like Dave Gilmour. Reality is another thing.
