Lyrics
oh great light of the broken city,
does your hate still poison the ground around here?
because I did find a certain sickness,
hiding in her narrow lanes and her sideway glances.

and when those left behind collect what remains,
and this is all could that could be saved?

oh great light of hollow triumph,
I did see you replaced by the sun in the sky,
and overcome by the simple words,
by the foldings of school children from all over.

who am I to judge what should and should not be shown,
when this is all that could be saved from the fire?

Very nice
Really like the verses. I think the melody and the music work excellently right there, even better than the chorus.
The solo break is perfect.
Interesting singing style works great.
Nice one

Nice range man! Is that you doing the backups or your girlfriend? How do you get that high register? Very cool. You have a really broad range of styles you tug on. Tasty lead, jazz-o-licious,

thanks again
hey Philip, thanks again for listening. yeah, those backups are all me but I would love to get some female vox. actually higher register comes more easily to me, so I just love doing bvox (probably why there are layers and layers of it on all my stuff - I'm a 'more is more' kinda guy) but struggle sometimes with getting a lead vocal I'm happy with.
