Description
This is a song about writing songs. So, I think a lot of you out there can relate to this one.
Lately, I've been in one of my "What's the point?" moods. Free time is just so limited these days. I usually knock out a bunch of songs and sit on them for a while. (Usually a year or more) But, I think I'm going to start to be less critical of my stuff and let the pieces fall where they may.
I'm just and songwriter and that's all. I just don't have the equipment/time to make these tunes sound "right". Hey, this is free stuff after all. Enjoy.
Dave
The "pic" are some lyrics of a song I did last year that's just sitting on my hard drive, collecting dust. Have to do the solos better...Vic! Help Me!

Lyrics
Get Up and Go
When the daylight’s coming to an end
I write a little melody
When I feel a little bit down
That’s all that’s left of me
When I write, I know I may get a little uptight
But, I know, I’ve got to get up and go
After Tuesday comes, I write a song that’s a little bit funny
After Wednesday comes and the clouds are gone and the sky in sunny
Turn around going up side down
I read a little fantasy
A hundred times I’ve written this song
Imprinted in my memory
When I write, I know I may get a little uptight
But, I know, I’ve got to get up and go
After Thursday comes I write a song that’s deep as the ocean
After Friday ends and I feel alright because I’m free of emotion
Waste my time changing up my rhymes
I see another side of me
Want to stop, but I can’t give up
The sound is now my dream
When I write, I know I may get a little uptight
But, I know, I’ve got to get up and go
