From Lisa: We want to thank Neil for giving us the push to redo this song and for giving some great energy back to Macjams, generally, with the MJRF. This is a song we did in 2006, our first year here, for the first LIOLI. We whipped it out in about a week, which was a crazy record for us at the time and there were a lot of things we wanted to change about the version we posted.
For me, I was very unhappy with the vocal. It seemed I was always sick at the time and I couldn't find a key that worked well for me and my voice was VERY unhealthy when I sang this in 2006. It turns out that I was being poisoned by low levels of carbon monoxide from my furnace (many of you know this story) which was making me sick and ruining my singing voice. The original recording of this song documents the worst my voice got and I'm happy that I sound a lot healthier on this new version. It's amazing how time heals all things.
We hope you guys enjoy this. We're happy to be here on the 2006 stage. Woooh!

I get firsties?? COOL! Thanks for the backstory on this - I'm new enough to not have known your furnace story, but that same thing just happened in my house, so I can relate (luckily, i'm not a singer) (a human though....). Your vocals here are sensational, and this soundbed is luscious beyond words. It's perfectly impossible to hold still and listen to this song. So glad this is the one you chose, and so GREAT to see The Orbiting around here a bit more! Hope this is just the start of new uploads from you two. (Nice Macbook Pro Matt....lol)
