Description
I've called it Trip Hop, because I've used trip hop percussion, but it's not really. I dislike the genre listing here!

Very simple and just under four minutes long. Four tracks made with the Albino soft synth, three synth and one bass. One or two FX placed here and there. There are three percussion tracks - I've used a couple of trip hop loops which I've fiddled around with, and a clave.

And that's it!

I like the mix - the bass is exactly where it should be, and the pads and synth-sounds are vividly in the 3 D panorama wonderful!! Kudos to you, beautiful music!!!

Nice and clean
Cool easy listening with a little TD twist here and there. Good dynamics too. Well done - again!

You can hear TD in everything!!

We had a great win today, watch the game if you get a chance. It was very good.

Thanks again!

TD, huh?
Well, it's rather likely that we all get to use some sound or rythm etc they've used over the last 40 years I guess ;-)

Congrats to the win, I've noticed in the news that you are doing pretty well, but I haven't seen many games at all lately.

Stay well! /Henke

soothing
'organic synth' sounds were just right. the beat was just heavy enough not to lose me. Cool atmosphere. I dig it.

Thank you
Yes, the Albino does have a very organic sound, as you say. It's great to play with the presets, fiddle about with the settings until you get a sound that is right. I'm learning more and more about it all the time - but it takes time!

Cheers!

Just call it groove music
Very nice electronic groove.

Say, I have a Nanokey, and it's good to sit at Starbucks and write music, but I would not use it for anything serious. Why do you write with it?

Thanks
My little "studio" is all on a three foot table in the corner of a small room. There's a 24" G5 imac and a pair of Rokit 5s on there, so the Nanokey is perfect! I had a much bulkier Edirol, but it has gone to keyboard heaven, alas, The Korg was really cheap, and does the job I want. I don't play very well, so I have to go in and edit midi a lot - changing notes, altering velocities, chopping stuff out, adding bits and so on. Is it cheating? Takes forever, and I think that you guys who play keys effortlessly are very lucky. Anyway, it's really not worth me spending a lot of money on an expensive keyboard. And, as you say, you can fiddle around with it plugged into a laptop.

I used some loops to start this tune off, but hopefully, I've altered them enough so that they have become unrecognisable. I didn't use the keys much, but more the pencil tool.

Thanks again Vic.

Rolling off a log
Dave, this all seems so effortless... Your tones contrast very nicely, are clear and crisp, and complement each other very well. There is great clarity in your mix. It sounds like there's always a lot going on, but there's really not. It's just that you know how to use your instruments with great efficiency.

Excellent, entertaining piece of music, Dave. Well done.

Thank you
I'll take this as a great compliment. Your own mixes are so clear! I always try to use sounds that compliment and contrast each other. I EQ bits too. It really helps having good monitors!

Cheers!

Nice and simple
Thats how I like music sometimes, thats how my music comes out like. I like the modulation you have on the pad/lead synth, very effective. Nice bass as well. Cool track Dave.

I often wonder what these tunes would sound like played at really loud volumes out in the open. I can never find out though. My neighbours wouldn't like it.

Now I can add you because this is great what you have going on here. I love the pitch bends, so many wouldnt go there and because you did it works for me very very much.

Thanks
I spend a lot of time on mixing things to try to get them sounding OK, but I'm never sure really. I'd have liked to do that for a living, with hindsight, and learn the trade properly. Bit too long in the tooth now!

Flow
Very nice flow with the bass and drums. The synth pads are what really do it for me though. This has a great open feel to it. I also love the pitch bending, well done.
