Description
A one take instrumental... just a guitar riff of rough blues for the Feterman... 'cause there's no one else on the road tonight.

Thanks Russ...
an impromptu groove from a guy without much ruffing skills. Hard to think of Feter all alone out there on the road at night without some blues to listen to.

cheers.

Jack, da bluesman
The Ovation sounds good! This is a cool tribute to Feter as he sits up in the middle of our night, leaving comments for the musicians. :-)

Well, I'm astounded...
...that this is your ol' Applause... Nice reverberational ambience and a vintage feel to the track... Well chosen drums for what you're doing, too, Jack...

Not the old Applause...
which was their original large bowl acoustic from the late seventies that I own. Rather it is their shallow bowl acoustic-electric (148) with the epaulets on the top that I bought a year or so ago.
See picture: http://tinyurl.com/btg7qj

I did have to do a bit of amp effects tweaking though.

Of course you would probably say, paraphrasing The Who,
"Meet the new Applause
Same as the old Applause"

Rolling down that empty road
Real nice pickin' and strummin' Jack. You should get Joe Brady to blow some harp on this. Can't wait to hear what Feter might do with it.

Thanks bud...
For some reason when I recorded this I didn't check to see if the guitar was concert tuned, so the key of this song is E flat (I think) of all things. Not the best for bringing in a harmonica, cause I thought of doing it myself. C'est la vie!

cheers.

Nothing that couldn't be fixed
with Audacity - without changing tempo. Easy for me to say - right?

Rollin' down that road Jack
This would go good while waltzing across the state of Texas in a 65 Caddy convertible with the top down, late at night and the radio blasting this over the local AM radio station as you drive through it's territory.

The Applause sounds great through whatever Amp sim you used my friend and the playin' ain't half bad either if you get my drift.

Kudos Jack, thanks for the listen.

rough blues, stiff drink, an easy chair... just what the doctor ordered. I think the stiff drink helps with the rough blues of this sort... ;)
