Description:
I wrote this poem nearly 15 years ago. The strange flanged noise in the background was the text file opened up as a sound file.

Lyrics:
And you...

Crimson killers rose from a pool
of warm coagulating blood to slay
the lives of any that came their way.
Dead men cracked the virginal skulls
of children and laughed as they ate
gray matter like sweet nutmeats. (Laughter)
There was always laughter!
Putrid carcasses of flesh blazed
in a pyre of the recently dead.

And you...

An umblemished feminine face broke
into a cracked grin of reality/insanity.
Burning liquid flowed among the damned
and perhaps God looked down upon them,
but only in perverse pleasure
as the throng yearned for death.

And you...

Ravens ate the eyes of babies as Saints
tortured innocent witches of Satan.
Boys raped boys in the wet earth
where their ancestors lay sleeping.
And the laughter came again.

And you...

Orgasms and alcohol conceive a child
in a black marble graveyard of Nazis.
Abortion rips the life of the antichrist
proving its worth 'till The Second Coming!
God is an iron!

And you...

She was found face down in her own vomit,
her wrists cut and bleeding to kill.
And perhaps God looked down. And laughed
at the umbilical cord joining stillborn and vagina.

And you...

And you try to wake, to escape judgment,
but you have already been declared guilty.
There is no sodomy or rape that you do not
deserve a thousand times over. You pray
but can no longer even hear laughter.

I like to consider myself a very happy, well adjusted, optimistic person
who has a positive outlook on life...

So I ask you, why did I like this poem?

Nicely done (if a bit disturbing).

I actually found myself downloading it...
