Verse 1:
Upon turning 60 our hero reflects on the way the years have piled up.
More recently coming faster and faster. He realizes he is 60.

Verse 2:

He repeats the same thoughts as he had in the first verse ... because, frankly, his mind is not as sharp as it used to be.

Verse 3:

Here our hero reflects upon the carefree days of his youth that are now just distant echos.

Verse 4:

DAMN ... IT'S MY BIRTHDAY AND I'M 60!!!!!!!!!!

Turning 60
So first of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! What a great way to celebrate, upload a great tune. I don't know what it is precisely about your music that i particularly love, but i sure do. It's always so full of interesting sounds, it's often mechanical sounding, but in this fully alive and weirdly organic feeling way, which confounds me every time. I'm freqently bopping my head and tapping my toes when i listen to you, and this song is no exception. You're just creative in this very unique way that i've always thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks for the great tune, and welcome to another decade!

These are some of the nicest comments on my music that I could have. When one works with loops like I do it is a challenge to come up with things that sound fresh. Those of you with the talent to play and come up with unique melodies can go just about where you want with a song. I have to try to add interest with the selection of sounds, with the arrangement, and the mix. That you think I reach some of my goals of making accessible and enjoyable tunes is gratifying to me.

welcome to the geriatric age my friend, glad you made it. Love the way you celebrated it too, this is a killer track. (no pun intended)

Not too long ago my daughter was trying to help us find an apartment, and she said they had some really nice places near where she lives for elderly folks.

I told her, "The day I can't lift my leg high enough to kick you in the butt, is when you can call me elderly, young lady". She just laughed and went on about helping the old fol;s find a place to live, don't ya know.

Cool beats infectious factory type melodies. However it works out we human beings can't escape toil and work. And in this well produced tune, it seems like that is the theme.

but a very happy belated birthday. As Karen said, I don't know what it is about your music I enjoy but I like just about everything you've done. This celebratory piece is especially good (I detect a little "Grind it In" at the beginning which, according to your verse layout, probably should have happened in verse 3 ;-)
