Nice Juxtaposition between the horns and their uneven, almost limping progression, and the flowing quality of the strings. I heard an interesting development too, for as the strings first entered the piece sounded a bit like a requiem, and then as they developed further there was the sense of movement through a mountainous landscape (the up and down pitch of the violins was doing this for me). This landscape then produced the sense of a progression of something ominous, large, powerful, yet unsteady and lumbering, slowly and determinedly working its way toward a likely sinister goal. Nicely orchestrated, fresh, kept my interest well throughout and full of little musical surprises in the intervals you chose in the melodic lines. Big finish with the blast - did they get there? Ominous indeed I like the brass and percussion undertone to this work. You get a very realistic quality out of the horns. There is a sense of sadness and defeat within this piece. I share your enthusiasm and passion for doing video work and scoring with music. The right music score can bring the visual to life by accentuating the emotion. If I could do that for a living, I'd be a happy man! Thoroughly enjoyed your "Prairie" piece on your bio page...I love "the West". Check out my latest song called Defining Moment

love those drums nice use of the timpani/bass drums. i love the contrast between the sweet, melancholy sweeping string lines and the somber march of the horns and percussion. excellent composition full of powerful emotion. very well done and very much enjoyed. thank you! ominous title and cover art - and the song itself carries through perfectly with that feeling of downright dread! Nice work on the string counter melodies - that are juxtaposing the horns really well - Nice job Mr. B!
