Description:
Guitar Based 4:10
There is a 2 minute intro, so stick with it if you can.

Hardware:
My typical set up is an iMac with Garage Band. I play a modified Fender Strat and Fender Precision Bass. To help modify the sound I run the Strat through a Cry Baby Wah Wah, Ibenez TS9DX Tube Screamer, Johnson J-Station Amp Modeler and Blue Tube Stereo Preamp. The bass is also modified by the J-Station. The drums are Drums On Demand. Art work by Roger Dean.

Software:
Garage Band

Wow! &mdash 11/27/04 - 12:53:54 PM
Great intro into a track that is superb.
As I'm not a guitarist I can t comment on anything other
than the sound (which is fantastic)
Good Production and nicely set out.

WAY too short........
Excellent through Headphones.

Hey Z293 &mdash 11/28/04 - 10:12:53 AM
Nice intro maybe a tad too much reverb but killer chops
as usually. Your compostitions are getting much better I
hear more you your own style instead of other famous
players. looking forward tp your next post.

Hack & Slimmie &mdash 11/28/04 - 02:13:08 PM
Thanks for listen. The beginning is suppose to have alot of reverb, but I
know what you mean, sometimes I get carried away. Plus the two
sections have a slightly different tempo and don't know how others do it
but I merged the two files together and ended up doubling the reverb on
the beginning by mistake. So that was part of the problem.

2 minutes of a 4:10 song &mdash 11/28/04 - 01:29:45 PM
is not an intro. It's half the song. In my humble opinion,
there's way too much spacey intro playing and not nearly
enough rockin' playing. And the fact that you felt you
needed to apologize for it up front makes me suspect you
think so too. Your playing is solid, and the sound you get
when the drums finally get what they demand is quite
good. More of that, please!

Hey Chris &mdash 11/28/04 - 02:21:08 PM
I wasn't exactly apologizing, but I know what you mean. I think most
people here like to hear vocals and that's just not posible for me, so it
was more of warning to let people know the whole thing wasn't spacey.

And before I read your comments I added a two minute acoustic guitar
ending. I guess I better rethink that before I submit it. Two minute intro,
Two minute song, Two minute ending.

Seriously, thanks for the comments.

Kitaro style exccellence &mdash 12/01/04 - 10:08:30 AM
This is really nice. I like the intro very much, Kitaro
style expansive electronic new age guitar mix with great
rock chops. Don't know why people can't just except what
the composer does and let it fly through them. This a
very pro piece incredibly well played and very well mixed.
Thanks for all the info on your guitar equip and effects,
too. I love the length of the first section, the very nice
cymbal transition, and the most excellent performances.
Could have used even a longer outro. Really great.

Glad You Liked It &mdash 12/01/04 - 05:27:26 PM
Tobin & Suzanne, Being release over the Holiday weedend meant there
wasn't much exposure, so you made my day when you found it. Tobin
I'm glad you liked it and it was nice to see your song rule the week and
Suzaane I don't know about being a diamond but I appreciate the
comments.

Good stuff... &mdash 12/14/04 - 07:18:08 PM
Reminds me quite a bit of Whitecross and Rex Carrol's guitar lines. Atmospheric intros and bluesy, but hard-driving melodic riffs. Well played and well mixed. Kudos!

Singing guitar soothes as it chastises &mdash 04/20/05 - 12:51:01 PM
Nothing like the sound of a classic tube amplifier. Gotta
get me one of those. Nice, really nice.
