Description
This is the last entry in this round of Buddha Machine experiments. Thanks for listening and I'd appreciate any comments or criticisms. February 28th I 'll be submitting my RPM Challenge CD to their site:
http//www.rpmchal/...
This is a one track improvisation using a single loop from the Buddha Machine as a sound source and sequence trigger through a Sequential Circuits Pro One synth while I twiddle with the knobs and such.
Again this is open to collaboration - and I hope to release a companion remix CD. No pressure here - just appreciation.

spooky
Wow! That was sending shivers down my back.
And there was me thinking the buddah machine was a sort of 'chill out' kind of thing.
Really heavy textures.
This should be in an early David Lynch film.
~Amazing

This unlike the others
is way unrelaxing and full of suspense ....Def had feelings of horror movie score to me nice and freeky-deeky ....creepy and yet still meditative :) Cool one bud !

Geeze,
This would be the muzak playing at the entrance to the gates of hell. I got shivers up my spine. Yeah, it is David Lynch spooky. Thanks, Bud.

this one's my favorite so far because of the harshness of it. this buddah machine thing is rad. great stuff. pls explain the pic it's so cool

bud said 274 days ago (February 24th, 2009)
I posted a note - thanks to Smokey
on the picture in the description. It's a very cool installation. The harshness is coming from the noise generator in the synth along with one of the dirtier loops and pushing the envelope while holding back on the modulation. Glad you liked it. I find it's like a sustaining grunge guitar - or something Neil Young did on Arc/Weld.

feedback
I think this one I like the best of the group. it has some cool effected guitar type of feedback going on.

monster sound from a tiny box.
Check out my latest song called November
bud said 274 days ago (February 24th, 2009)
Thanks Vic
The truth is that the tiny box is just the sound source for the massive box that is the Pro One synth. There's nothing like that machine when it comes to big sound. It's essentially a monophonic Prophet synthesizer with two oscillators - a noise generator - sequencer, and infinite parameter control. It sounds so good because it's good old pure analog.

meditation bell
whoa. This is my favorite Buddha tune. The sound is immediately accessible yet way complex. Sounds like the end of the ring of a large bell, where the sound waves are breaking up but you can just still hear it, only amplified.

Another cool environment you've painted here - like psycho-metal rock from the stars.

Another hit!

Thanks,

Nice Journey
This is some really good mediation music. I felt like I was on a tour boat (going somewhere). Have you ever been on a tour that you were upset when it ended? This is one of them.

Well done.
