i am not a piano player and the piano-take was just recorded for a test of the microphones... but it was to good to delete and i was in need of an epilogue for the 9/11 - opera... i had a speech of an iraq-war-veteran, i had the piano-take...
and so it came together...

when the kid came home
there were some banners with his name
and a flag of the country he fought for
was there too
the house where he was born
looked like a ****ing christmas-tree
and he feels like a child...
the family´s so proud for their heroe´s return
and even his daddy wiped a tear from his eyes
and grandfather looked at all the medals and signs
and remembered his
best fights...
coming home....
