Description
Just experimenting with Helena's Swedish recitation of Marianne Williamson's poem, Our Deepest Fear... or if I have translated it properly, Vår göra djupare rädsla. The charming original was posted as an "open collab" here - http://www.macjams.com/song/51018 - and in this version, I have added some ambient guitar and beat textures.

Fear is often subtle...

Very pleasant
You're most in your element with the experimental stuff, Daniel. I'm really liking your sound poems. Your strong understanding of the rhythms of poetry make you especially good at this.

As a non-Swedish speaker, I'm hearing Lena's voice as a pure sound - that's the plus side of not being able to understand the words. And Swedish is such a beautiful language even if you don't understand it, full of purring 'r's and soft trills.

Thank you Rebsie
As am I - the vocal is pure symbolisme (in the French sense) where the sonic quality of language takes preeminence over meaning. Something you and I will explore too!

Texture
Our deepest fear I cant understand it but I like the way the guitar and drums stay far enough in the back to make the reading seem so much more larger. very cool!

That was my intent - to underscore not overrun the reading!

you handled it delicately, with reserve. Lena sounds great. I am charmed by her reading. Thanks.
