Moonshine Morning (remix)

Get Flash to see this player.

Description
An instrumental song arranged from "loops only", the orchestration on this piece is drums, bass, piano, marimba and steel guitar. The tune is upbeat and a little infectious. Although the title includes "remix" it is the first time I've posted this. I hope you enjoy it.

Nice easy going piece Richard
I've used some of those loops myself, but I do like the way you put them together. This is indeed infectious and very pleasing to the ear. You did a great job on this one Richard, a great job indeed.

Easy going
Thanks for the kind words Ed. I was beginning to despair because I'd had no comments though the tune's been here for a week. I wondered if perhaps the loops were TOO familiar (which I still think may be the problem with some of my other pieces). When I began this remix I tried to disguise the steel guitar by assigning the loops to different instrumental voices so it wouldn't be so familiar sounding but, to me, it no longer "worked". In any case, I'm glad you found your way here and enjoyed your listen.
Cheers, Richard

you know
for some reason, when you posted this i downloaded it to listen to later, since i was at work. i put it on my ipod and completely forgot to come back and leave a comment. i was on my daily walk through the woods today and it came up on shuffle and i thought "doh!" so...here i am. i really like this piece a lot. the loops you've chosen and futzed with here all flow together so very well. this is a very "feel good" song to me. you have an excellent ear for layering sounds and textures and really making them work well together. well done!

I have long been a lover of music but, other than an elementary school introduction to playing the violin, I have no music training. I taught myself to play guitar (by ear) years ago but reached that point where I knew that to progress any further I ... [see more]
