Description
Oasis, Lenny Kravitz and U2 walk into a bar.........
I wish. I run marathons and this was written as therapy on miles 22-26. The term 'slow twitch' refers to muscle fibers recruited for endurance things like marathon, triathlon, etc - enough science, let's rock like it's 1985.

Lyrics
I’m
keeping something from fading in the light

I’m
Keeping something from night

I’ve
Been begging for water, none in sight

I’m
Not feeling alright

I’ll keep running on
I’ll keep running on

I
need someone pull me through this race

I
Need to pick up the pace

I
Gotta find her then I’ll believe

I
Gotta get some relief

Great production - nice mix
digging the vocal blend and guitar tone together. Would like to hear a heavy break out lead in there too.

Thanks!
Yeah, I was trying to get an "Edge" type guitar solo (from the Boy and October albums). I'm not one for big leads with lots of bends. As Mark Knopfler said, "He's strictly rhythm, he doesn't want to make it cry or sing"!

The Wall
I have experienced the mile 22 "Wall" - probably did more "walking on" than running on LOL.
Great song! Reminded me a bit of the band "Shoes". (or was that the running references?)
Harmonies very well put together.

great!
great 70's-80's pop-rock sensibility. cool vox - remind me of Steve Miller Band. I'm a big fan of shaker too. I don't run unless its FROM something but I like the way you took what seems to me to be the stuff that bangs around inside your head while your exercising/working/competing and put it to music. cool concept and great execution.
